Culture of poor customer service

I own several vacation rentals in the area. I stopped at a rental in Kachina Village and as I pulled in the driveway I noticed the garbage had not been put to the curb.

As I place the can at the curb, the trash truck drove by me on the opposite side of the street. I tried to wave and all but stepped in front of the truck. He ignored me and continued with out hesitation. I called the office and a cheerful person answered and assurred me that the can would be picked up.

A few hours later I pulled the can from the curb and found it had never been picked up.

I called the office again and inquired as to what happened. The office person explain that the driver had told her that the can wasnt at the curb when he went by so the customer can pound sand. (BASICALLY), and wait till next week.

I asked to speak to a manager and that is when the glib response came back " why so you can explain how your can wasn't at the curb at the appropriate time". I never received a call back from anyone. Just like I never got a call back when I inquired about a refund of $200.00 I am suppose to receive for a roll off dumpster. Just really poor follow through and sarcastic tones.

This culture of poor customer service is unacceptable and so I responded with the immediate request to cancel my service. It was explained that the can would be picked up next Wednesday and 14 days later I would be refunded my prepayment.

I immediately called JT Waste and inquired as to how a near miss of a pickup would be handled by JT Waste. The person in the office response was, we would make sure it got picked up immediately or at least at the end of the route.

I signed on for service and will be looking forward to doing business with JT waste and receiving remarkable trash service.

I am now canceling all of my business with Northern Arizona Waste. I will be moving all of my properties to JT Waste. I would also recommend to anyone in Flagstaff to the same.

Started out good, went down hill in last two months

I signed up for trash and recycling service with NAWS as several neighbors recommended them to me, they pick up recyclables weekly, and they claim to be a locally owned company. I have had their service for about three years now. Recently, I received a call almost two months ago letting me know my recycling day was changing from Thursday to Tuesday.

Since then, my recyclables have only been picked up once, and that was AFTER my roommate called and was treated poorly for not being on the account. Which was weird, because I have some personal family issues going on, so I called to add him to the account a few months ago. So they came and picked up my recyclables WITH THE GARBAGE ON WEDNESDAY.

I am sustainability minded and I actually take time to sort my recyclables, insure they are clean, and we actually generate more recyclables than trash, which made their weekly service important to me. I personally feel like I am being charged for a service they are failing to deliver. I have not been charmed by their customer service - I emailed them three weeks ago with no response. I also found out they are not locally owned at all. They are owned by another trash company in New Mexico, so I guess they are regionally local if you include the whole Southwest.

BAD SERVICE AND APATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

gOOD SERVICE UNTIL A MONTH AGO, THEY STOPPED PICKING UP FOR NO REASON. I CALLED THEM NUMEROUS TIMES AND STILL NO SERVICE OR REASON FOR THE STOPPAGE, WHAT IS MORE, NOT SO MUCH AS AN APOLOGY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE! UNBELEIVABLE! SWITCHING TO TAYLOR ASAP! GOOD RIDENCE NAWS!
