Our experience thus far has be horrendous. Nick started our job assuring us he'd handle everything since my dad is terminally ill. He hasn't handled anything. The job has never had any blueprints drawn up and communication btw the workers is terrible due to a lack of job site Forman. During this process of building this addition, there's never been a dumpster and we've repeatedly had to call nick to ask to have the trash picked up. The neighbors have all commented on the trash left around and the fact that the workers "relieve" themselves outside on our garage. Cigarette buds have been left everywhere including having been thrown in the pool. The new block foundation already has a crack from top to bottom and the project isn't even finished. Not to mention the contract states he was to be completely finished with the project a month ago so now he's in breech of contract. Now he is dodging our calls and promising to come to talk things out but not showing up. Protect yourself.

It is now over a year since we hired Nick Hornbeck for the building of our addition. The situation went from bad to worse. He took my parents money, and never finished the job. He knew we were doing this so we could move in to help with my dad as his cancer kept coming back. Sadly, it is bad enough that Nick himself took my parents money and left them without a working bathroom, he failed to properly comply with building codes, we had to repair foundation issues, we had to finish the basement including drywall and painting, the basement leaked so I had to install a French drain to prevent water damage, countless other things. The worst though is that he robbed us of our last summer with my dad. My dad just died so our last summer was spent with my dad doing all he could, suffering with bone cancer, to try to fix Nicks mistakes and finish the work. As a family we helped but it's terrible that Nick robbed us of so much. I also know of 2 additional families who are suffering because Nick did the same to them.
