I contacted a well known corporate artificial grass company for an estimate and their estimate was about 40% over what Muirfieldsports quoted so I talked to Muirfieldsports. I asked if I could see a lawn they had done in the area and I was given an address by the beach. I noticed the lawn looked shiny and more like astroturf. I told the owner I wanted a product that wasn't shiny and he said no problem we will make your yard look absolutely beautiful. We have darker colors available. He brought three samples over and I chose the darker sample that looked more like grass. I put down a $6500 deposit and signed a contract. He cashed my deposit September 3rd. He called me to see about moving the original install date per the contract timeline to the following week as we wanted to do the install all in one continuous timeframe. I said sure that's fine. The next week he called and said it looked like it was going to rain too much and wanted to move it to the following week. I said sure that's ok. I call him Monday morning of the install date and tell him my backyard gate will be unlocked so he can start the install if I am not home. He says sorry I forgot to tell you I am in Tampa and can't make it. He calls me the next day and says sorry but the color of product you wanted isn't available it is on four week back order. I politely tell him sorry but I signed a contract that had a date for installation as well as a certain agreed upon product please return my deposit. He tries to push the shiny product on me. I tell him listen I want to see the receipt for the $6500 deposit you cashed of my money Sept. 3rd. That deposit did not go towards the agreed upon product. Again, I am being polite and professional and he doesn't respond to emails. He has had my $6500 for almost 8 weeks. He can't deliver as promised the product he promised. Don't waste your time with this company. I am pursuing legal avenues at this time. KARMA!!
