Unprofessional

The people at this company are very unprofessional. They lied from day one about charging by the weight when they actually charge by the square footage. They will not answer phone calls in a timely manner. I requested to change my date and they told me that the only fair thing to do was to agree to the dates they offered me. Later they called me to say they could move me on the day I requested. I then got a call from a different company that offered a window of dates. Of course, this company that acted on behalf of moving on up came the on saturday instead of friday. They showed up with a Budget rental truck and two non-uniformed scruffy looking guys that barely spoke english. They then told me I would have to pay more money because of the square footage. However, I had called in advance to discuss my inventory. I was told it would not be a problem. Following up for my refund, I was ignored until the financial secretary finally accepted my call. She screamed at me telling me my concerns did not matter. Then she hollared "shut up" and slammed the phone down. My advice to you is to keep looking. Look hard and get clarification before selecting movers. Definitely do not sign on with Moving on up. You will be sorry!

SCAM ARTISTS!!!!

Just like the other review, they called the day before they were to move ALL of my families things across the country and said that they were having "truck" problems and didn't have any idea when they would ever have the truck fixed and said they weren't able to rent another truck to handle their moves...what company has one truck?!?! Obviously they have no credit extension to be able to do that even though we offered them a company that rents out trucks to movers.They lied over and over. They told me to find someone else in town to do the move. Ha! This has been booked for a month at the least and every other company requires at least a week to even be able to come out and let you know what they can do, and in the summer it can take WEEKS to get a mover to be able to do a job. They were given a deposit and were so hostile and rude we couldn't even get an answer on if and when the money would ever be returned. In talking with other companies today as well as the DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION we were informed they are some of the biggest scam artists out there. If you get hung up on when asking about your money that was given to them and told never to contact them again when THEY are in the wrong, there is something majorly wrong with this picture. Don't be fooled by their prices. Now we have no one to move our things and non transferable or refundable airline tickets to get to our new home, so in the long run they have cost more money and stress imaginable. BEWARE AND RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely Terrible!

Do not use these movers! Our move has been scheduled for a month & they canceled on us 2 days prior to the moving date leaving us totally screwed having to be out of our apt. in 2 days! The owner/manager just kept stating there was nothing he could do and I should start calling other companies. The reason for this all is because of their complete incompetence in not looking up our zip code until 2 days before the move & realizing we were 6 hours away from where they Assumed we were! All of this along with raising the price $350 from the original quote!
