I have worked for Wendy Miranda between the two studio locations since 2006. I am an esthetician and have personally learned more in depth about skin care and customer service through Wendy.I say with pride, if you can work for Wendy, you can work for anyone! Merle Norman offers a wide range of products for all skin types! I have seen these products work! Stop in at the Merle Hay location or in Ankeny to see what we have for you!

As a past employee I was also very sad to see a bad review here. I worked for Wendy Miranda at both of her studios in Ankeny and Merle Hay for about 6 months and then moved away so I had to quit and then as soon as I moved back the first person I called was Wendy and I was back working at Merle Norman again!! The reason I went back: Wendy. She was the best manager I ever had. Pushing me to do better and constantly striving for EXCELLENCE! I have been to MANY studios around the states and have yet to see a studio like Wendy's. All of her studios are IMMACULATE. So clean and perfect! Not only does Merle Norman have life changing products but the service is always amazing. Wendy always taught each one of her employees to offer a seat to each one of the customers and pamper them! I have been a customer of Merle Norman at Merle Hay Mall for the last 3+ years. The customer service has always been outstanding. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. Wendy, manager/owner of the store does a wonderful job training the employees. I bring friends and family in whenever possible to share the products and services of this store.

As a past employee I was shocked to read this review. Yes, Wendy is tough on her employees but never has she been this abusive (in the 3 years I worked for her and I was working for her at that time of the review). Please do not let this one woman's interpretation of Wendy steer you away from this studio. Both of Wendy's studios have exceptional products and customer service and if you ever experience anything else contact Wendy immediately and I guarantee you it will be made right.Wendy does have a very strong personality but being one of her employees was one of the best things that happened to me and changed me for the better. She treats clients fantastically and knows her stuff inside and out. There is no one better at meeting skincare/makeup needs. Don't miss out on it!

I was in the Merle Hay store recently to make a purchase and I was being assisted by a very pleasant woman. Unfortunately, when the manager, Wendy (I believe) jumped in things got very ugly. I have never seen someone be so abusive toward staff. It really made my visit uncomfortable just to see this kind of thing happening. Although the products are good, they are not able to overcome the ugly way this woman treated someone who was really doing a good job. I will not shop there again.
