Kevin from Menlove Appliance repaired our leaky washing machine. I couldn't believe how prompt, friendly and efficient he was! He came same day, had the part on hand and and completed the repair very quickly. The price was much lower than I expected. I've dealt with another technician at Menlove before and had a similar experience. I will continue to depend on these guys and would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Repaired my ice maker on my new lg fridge and within a day did not work.. I called andwas told a new one would be ordered and be here in a few days.. Well its been a hell of a lot longer than a few days so I guess I will just buy a new one and install my self!!! JOKE!!!!

Kevin Menlove promptly came out to repair our ice maker. That was the last time anything was prompt. He quoted $59 service call fee, charged $69 and leveled the frig (which Kenmore specifically said NOT to do when they installed it). Within 3hrs an icicle was forming again and he was notified. Next, Kevin installed a new ice maker valve for $55. Same results. Two months later and in spite of repeatedly saying he will order and install a new ice maker... we haven't seen him. Last conversation, Kevin actually asked, "what do you want?" He promised when he put the valve in if it didn't work he'd return it and reimburse the $55. Nope, didn't do that either. He was referred by his own family member, my co-worker. You'd think doing this 35 years which I've been told twice... he'd be able to figure it out or at least not keep saying he'd do it. $124 later and ice maker has same issue. Unreliable, hassle & no resolution.



UPDATE: I received an unsolicited full refund yesterday which paid for the ice maker I ordered from SearsPartsDirect and installed myself. Ice maker working GREAT. Thank you Kevin!!!

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Our dryer was eating a lot of our cloths, so after being referred to these guys by a family member, we had them come out and look at it. The guy immediately knew the problem and we paid $200 for him to get the part to fix it. Well, not even a few days went by before our dryer once again started doing the same thing! So ewe called them, they were very nice and said they would come out free of charge to look at it again. Well.....that was ONE YEAR ago! We have had 3 NO SHOWS, several promises to make it right, and now they are just ignoring our calls and we haven't heard from them since the last no show. I am very very displeased with the ethics of this company. They are dishonest in my book! Please go elsewhere for you repairs! I wish I could give ZERO stars!

Fast, Friendly, no-nonsense, no hassles ... gave us options for washing machine repair at very reasonable price. Most importantly, they FIXED the problem at a FAIR COST ... will definitely do business with this company again.

Description: I went with this company because it has some good reviews on other sites. I figured I had nothing to lose but some $ to get our AC fixed. Our AC was very noisy and often the compressor outside would simply stop working. Tech took it apart and spent about 2 hrs "working". He reported he'd come back the next day with a different fan motor, which he did. That didn't help the noise, so he said he'd come back with another fan motor. It took a week before that happened. He reported it was fixed but our compressor was noisy, but this fix should buy us a year or two before that would need to be replaced. He charged us $400! For a new fan motor! A few days later I turned it on and it was so noisy now our next door neighbor complained about the noise. Kind of like an airplane flying over. I had watched the tech the first time, so I opened it up. After only 30 minutes, I determined the compressor was fine, no significant noise there. The fan was the culprit, and most likely the fan blade from what I could see. I called them back asking them to come out again. I waited for almost a week before someone showed up. A different tech came out. I gave them my observations, they said they look into a new fan blade. It took about a week longer before he came back with a new blade. It seemed to do the trick, even though there was still too much vibration. I mostly cured that by putting a large rock right on top of the a/c in the center, not covering the vents. It absorbs most of the vibration. It appears the issue, from my perspective, was simply a bad motor because of a bent fan blade (couldn't see any damage though). This has led to metal fatigue of the top. I'll work to weld up a reinforcement to bolt to the top.



Evaluation: What I don't get is how a novice software engineer, me, could troubleshoot this issue better than the techs doing the work. That doesn't help consumer confidence. Also, in the end the price was $450, over a month wait, two techs, and too much stress. Such a bargain.

My washer broke right before the holidays! I called Menlove and was connected with Bryce. He was very helpful in diagnosing the problem and helping me in working with the manufacturer to confirm warranty information. He was timely, friendly and very courteous. I used other appliance services in the past but will probably be calling Menlove from now on. Thanks Bryce!!
