DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I hired them in January to do tree trimming and a tree removal. They cashed my check only did part of the work and never came back. I now have to go to court. The Department of Agricultural has issued multiple stop orders to the owner Wil Kingston. He has not been insured since September has he has advertised. His currently does not even have a license. He is under investigation by the Department of Agricultural. It's all public information all you have to do is call them. Complete scam artist.

LAmen Trees is hands down, the best tree service on the Northshore! I would recommend them to any of my family, friends and neighbors. We hired them for tree removal and couldn't be happier. Their prices can't be beat and the work was impeccable. The owner was honest and provided his professional opinion on our request for service. He made me feel more at ease and seemed very concerned about the safety of our family and our property. We highly recommend them for any tree service.

Didn't show up even though he swore he would be there.....twice! Didn't return any phone calls. Not dependable. Checked with BBB. He has an F rating. Now I know why.

Removed three trees for me and all work and cleanup very professional.

LAmen Tree did work for me without a permit. Similar experience. I have a feeling all the positive reviews were written by his relatives or friends. They sound too far fetched. Certainly not the "professional" he claims to be. Only giving 1 star because I have to.

DO NOT USE THEM! Horrible customer service. Completed half the job after I paid for the entire job. Claimed he thought he had the permit for the tree but didn't and said he would be back the next week. I called him everyday, leaving a message. IF he called me back, he would always say they would be here the next day. Would never show up. I was on a deadline which he was well aware of. He begged for one last chance and said he was sorry and then told me way too much info about his complicated personal life. He said he would be here first thing the next morning. He didn't show. I called him at 11am. Of course he did not answer. I left a message and said if he was not here by 12:30, I was going to have to find someone else to do the job and that I did expect my money back for what he didn't do. This was on a Friday. Once talking to several other people, I learned that this was not the first time he had done this sort of thing, and that he was very good a few years ago. His "workers" showed up unannounced the following Tuesday morning to finish the job. They still didn't have a permit and said he was getting one-- I'm not sure if this was true because they claimed they had it until I asked to physically see it. I asked them to leave as I had someone else doing the job later that day. He still never called me. I called him several days later to see when he was returning our money. He "claimed" he didn't understand why I sent his guys away and then proceeded to tell me that the contract states there is a 100% cancellation fee. When I began to speak about his behavior over the past several weeks, he told me to get a lawyer and hung up. I'm pretty sure a contract works both ways...He sure didn't hold up his end of the contract. I don't think he ever planned on giving us our money back, even though he claimed he would when he asked for that "last chance". I've never written a review on anything, and I probably never will again. However, this has upset me so much, and I feel people need to be warned. Also, when you are going to do tree work, call the city--they can give you some info.

LA Men was a first class operation and we highly recommend them for tree removal. The crew was very professional efficient and respectful of our property and very very hardworking. They removed 7 LARGE pines and 1 maple. The trees were either by our house, between our house and a neighbor's or right by above-ground power lines leading into our house. They completed this job in 1 day, including hauling off all the trees and debris as well as totally cleaning up our yard and property. Wil, the owner, was completely about customer satisfaction, as was Billy and the rest of the crew. We chose LA Men over other tree companies because of a neighbor's recommendation, and we are so glad we did. After watching them methodically remove all of our trees and remove debris, rake up, clean sidewalks, driveway, etc., we have total trust in LA Men.

I would highly recommend this crew. All of their credentials checked out; insurance, arborist license, Better Business Bureau. From the time I called until the time they finished everything was handled efficiently and professionally. The job was done within a week of my first call, including estimate, scheduling, completion of job and full cleanup. When I came home from work, you would have never known they were here. It is so refreshing in this day and times to find a service oriented business that seems to care.

We have used LAmen for the past two years to clear away trees damaged by storms, lost to new construction, and most especially to save trees that either infested with parasites or suffering from the shock of construction or flooding. We feel this really sets them apart from other companies who only want to cut trees.



We have managed to save a beautiful oak tree thanks to the knowledge and patience of Will Kingston, who has "nursed it" back to health. We used them for the first time this winter to prune trees and shrubs and are very happy with the results.



We like LAmen because of the courteous service, not only of those quoting prices, but also because of all the employees who have worked on our property. In addition, we like the fact that once they are gone, other than the missing trees, you would not notice that they have been through the yard: they lay planks to protect the lawn, remove any plants that might be damaged by machinery or falling limbs, and replant them carefully when they are finished.



They haul away all debris, including limbs, sawdust from stump grinding, and clean up the pavement where they have passed. The last time they came, they even returned the next day to sweep my driveway - all without my having to request it!



You many think that for all this extra care you would have to pay a premium, but rest assured, their prices are most competitive. We recommend this company very highly for any tree service you may require.

The expierience we had with LAmen Tree Co. , was a pleasure , considering the work to be done at our home. upon meeting with their salesman , we felt immediate confidence in our decision to use LAmen , as the knowledge and resoning displayed toward what trees should be taken out , as well as , the trees to be groomed .The crew was most impressive ,as they woked as one . They worked together to pursue the tree work to be done , efficiently , safely , and extreme care , as not to damage any of our surroundings.Finnally the clean up was the icing on the cake , to see what was done at our home and to see it now is just breathtaking . Not only are the trees gone but our yard looks better than ever , the dirtwork , the cleaning and the sod replacement definately shows the pride that we expected and considered a must in choosing a tree co. for our work . We are extremely satisfied and would recomend LAmen Trees for your Profesionally desired tree work and care .

The entire process was first class! Each phase of the project exceeded my expectations. Bidding process was thorough and professional. The equipment and crew were top quality and very efficient. It was easy to communicate with crew and foreman. The professional business culture at LAmen starts with the owner Will Kingston and is a culture that lives in his crew. They take pride in their work and were respectful and courteous from start to finish! Price was competitive and worth every penny. Job was completed in no time with very little trace.

Very professional company! They did exactly what they said they were going to do, and any ruts and yard damage that happened as a result of the tree coming down was repaired with sand. We came away very impressed with the work and certainly recommend this company to anyone interested in top level tree work and service. They even removed the stump grindings and filled the hole with sand... we could not tell a tree was ever there. First class job!

Ive always seen them working in here so I decided to hire them. Glad i did!! its nice to have a permanent tree cutter and arborist.

when these guys left my yard it looked better than when they got here!!! All of the workers were extremely safe and proffesional. Were in and out in just one day... I couldnt believe it!!
