Sloan left with $7000 and never completed work. POOR communication, In Lawyer's hands now. No moral business sense. AVOID!

Sloan @ JSS removed some alders and replaced our sewer line 2 years ago. He was pre-paid. The payment came from the seller as part of the real estate contract. Work was done the following spring after the ground thawed. I asked for an invoice for A YEAR (at least 10 phone calls) before giving up. Never got one. Have no proof the work was done because he never gave me invoice and he was paid by a 3rd party (the sellers real estate company). We continued to have sewer backing up several times per year since. Finally got another company to come out and fix it. After digging up the line they discovered that he used substandard pipe (not the recommended) and he also neglected to put the rubber boot gasket thing where it hooks up to the street. It was full of tree roots going in at the joint where it meets the city. So he we are digging up the yard AGAIN to fix this screw-up. And also, he's not a very pleasant person to deal with. Please don't waste your time or money on this guy.
