In response to Mrs. Schell Caradine's review, Indoor Air Quality was not told while at the residence for a service call that if you enter her attic that her pilot light on her hot water heater would go out. We were contacted two days later and asked to come back. Her husband knew ahead of time this was a problem, but Indoor Air Quality was not informed of this while there. We also called her back and left a message that this issue was a sign of a combustion air problem that she needed to have checked out for her and her family's safety.

The technician came out as scheduled and got my cool air working. Cleaned coils and recommended we change filter. AC works as it should now. The tech had to go up into the attic to check the furnace. He was up there for quite a while. After he left, I noticed my water heater stopped working. Having the attic open and all of the stirring around must have made the pilot go out. I called them and they wanted to charge a service fee to come back out and light the pilot. This is a lesson learned for me that when you have someone working in your attic to check everything in the attic to make sure everything is working as it should before they leave because they could inadvertently cause other problems.

I suggest if you let someone in your attic to fix something that you follow them up there to ensure everything else is working before you let them leave
