HLR Trucking & Pool Water

HLR advertises they sell clean water for pools & spas. I purchased water from them on 12/20/17 and they delivered dirty, filthy, sediment, pebble and sludge-filled contaminated water which damaged the pump, filter, and shell of my SwimSpa to the point it could not be restored to the way it was prior to their water delivery. I communicated with the owner Bert Rollins via phone and FB messenger- and he refused to do anything other then pay for some chemicals to clear the water- but the water was beyond clearing. I had the company where the spa was purchased- who are authorized by the manufacturer to repair and service the unit- come assess the spa and they determined it needed complete refurbishing. They allowed us to trade it in for another spa- but we lost $750 due to the damage- which they confirmed in writing. We also are out approximately $100 spent attempting to clean the water- plus $450 in electricity spent to keep the spa from freezing until the weather was warm enough to drain it safely. Once the spa was drained- the contaminated water damaged part of our back lawn (which now looks burned) for which we needed to hire a company in attempts to restore the lawn. I paid for the water and was able to cancel the check- but all in all we still suffered a financial loss in excess of $1,250 (not including the damage to the lawn and the cost for a professional company to drain it) We also lost the use of the spa for 3 months- and untold aggravation. We would ask this company no longer be able to advertise the sale of clean pool or spa water. They are a trucking company and should probably just stick to doing that. When contacted, the owner Bert Rollins blamed the incident on his supplier- and refused to take responsibility or compensate us for our loss. He also claimed because I was able to cancel his check- that I received "free" water. I paid him for CLEAN water- not filthy water.
