Our treasure trove features over 40,000 books, 500+ boardgames and card games, and a variety of collectible roleplaying games (RPGs) and accessories.
Books of all categories line our shelves: mostly used and out-of-print books in hard cover and paperback. Aisles of Sci Fi/Fantasy, Mysteries, Thrillers, Westerns, History and Nonfiction, Romance, General Fiction, Young Adult and Children's books wait your browsing pleasure. You'll also find a selection of rare and antiquarian books. The Parapsychology section section contains both new and used books and a variety of tarot cards. A special bookcase with drawers hosts used and out-of-print RPGs (roleplaying games) and gaming modules.
Our designer boardgame section has overflown its shelves, so you'll find games throughout the store. The myriad selection includes easy to learn and play gateway games, Euro games, word games, party games, card games, kids games, educational games and gamer games... all by the best game publishers, including Rio Grande, Mayfair, Z-Man, Fantasy Flight, Asmodee, AEG, Steve Jackson Games, Looney Labs and more!
There are a few comfy chairs where you can relax and read. Cold drinks are available for purchase. We can even pull out a card table if you want to play a game.
Our demo game library of 300+ games allows you to try before you buy. We'll even teach you how to play.
Game Night is the first Saturday of every month, but feel free to stop by the store anytime, especially afternoons, to play a game. We'll demo games whenever you ask.

Provided by SuperpagesFriendly people, atmosphere, great selection of books and games. They've got it all. Their web site says they have 40,000 books. I believe it. The owners are very friendly. When they don't have a book I'm looking for, they let me put it on my Want List and call me when it comes in. That's pretty nice. Plus every May and November they clear out their overstock in a sidewalk sale - books are 50 cents or a dollar. I've tried some new authors that way. They've really expanded their board game selection in the last few years. Used to be one small section, now games are all over the store.

Provided by YP.comComfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Comfy chairs. A browser's heaven. LOTS of books in all my favorite categories, including Science Fiction & Fantasy, Mysteries, General and Classics. They also carry some really nice playing cards, dice and variety of fantasy roleplaying games. I know they have plenty of books in all the other categories, too, I just don't shop much beyond my regulars. Oh, yeah and they carry hard backs!
The people at Here Be Books are friendly and seem very service-oriented. Tim and Tina, the owners have helped me find books when I didn't know the author or title, only the series name, when I only knew the author, etc. and have offered to special order books they didn't have in stock or put them on my want list and call me when they come in. They even looked up and printed a list of all the titles of a couple series I like for me. Now that's service!
The first Saturday of each month is Game Night at Here Be Books when they keep the store open late so people can socialize and play games. Everything from word games to cards to group games, whatever seems to be the order of the evening. I've only made it once so far, but it was fun. They host D & D Game Day every year, too! I got some sweet miniatures at the last one.
All in all a nice place with nice people and nice books.
