Gene B. Glick Company Inc., founded in 1947, is among the largest, most successful, privately held management companies in the United States. The company manages 19,000 apartments in 11 states. It is also among the largest builders in the country, having built over 30,000 residential units. In addition to the market rate communities, Glick Company builds and manages low and moderate-income subsidized housing. The company entered the multi-family housing market in 1962 with the development of an 80-unit rental community in Indianapolis and by 1974 it shifted its entire focus to the development of multi-family communities.
