Please, refuse to use Edgemont towing services because Edgemont is only interested in squeezing out as much money from you at your own expense.



We wrecked our car and even though we wrote on a legal document that the sheriff gave us to state specifically where we wanted our car towed, Edgemont ignored it. Guess where they towed it. Of course, they towed it to their own lot and is now charging us extra money for the car sitting on their lot. Not only do they refuse to tow our car anywhere we ask but will only take cash and at first stated that they did not deal with insurance companies. It seems they do deal with insurance companies, after all. (Am I wrong in saying that seems shady?) If you are low on money, you are screwed. We had specific needs and reasons why we needed it towed to a certain car shop. Our insurance company said they would take care of it and hopefully everything will get straightened out. I am hoping for better, no thanks to Edgemont.



I understand they need to get paid for towing the car out of the ditch. I have no qualms about paying them for the honest work of towing the car out. However, we had to go to the hospital before their first tow truck arrived and had no way to make sure that they towed our car to the written address. They had to use two tow trucks, apparently, because the first one they sent could not get the job done. They did not tow the car to our mechanic's car shop because they had to "get paid first". I understand they have to get paid. What I do not understand is that they did not leave the car at our mechanic's shop. The cars he works on are outside in his gravel lot parked in rows, so it was obviously ok to do so. What it seems to be is that they selfishly refused to take the car to any lot but their own so they could force even more money from the injured, rightful owner by charging for "storage." And by the way, their "storage" is a meager, tiny fenced in gravel corner of a lot next to their run down building for their business.
