Called listed number and received a quote for recovering a failed hard drive at $500-$700 range. I discussed dropping off a new hard drive with it for transferring the complete contents, including the Operating System. After dropping it off, the quote changed to $1300. Reluctantly letting this pass and arguing it down to $1,200, I was notified that "everything went great" and I could come pick it up. Upon arriving, I asked to review files, which did not recover properly. Several days later, I came back a second time, assured that everything copied successfully. I was also told that the OS was not installed, and that someone else would have to do that on another drive. I was referred to Microcenter nearby and that Datatech was "pulling some strings" to get me a good deal. Recall that the original quote of $500-$700 included doing this already. Two weeks, a third visit to the area, and $300 later, About 1 in 15 files was recovered on the drive I finally had access to. I notified Datatech again. Rickey at Datatech said the engineer told him a different story about the files all being recovered and the engineer was now backtracking on his statements. You have to love it when a company starts pointing fingers internally at each other when a customer service issue comes up.



Rickey said he sent the drive to a different engineer. A week later the file contents are once again ready for pickup. A look at the portable HD (they did provide this at no charge, despite telling me they originally couldn't do this and hence why I had to spend $300 at Microcenter) showed that more than half of the files are still not functional.



So after 6 to 7 hours in traffic going to and from here FOUR times, and a final bill of $1,000 higher than originally promised, I still do not have half of what was promised. Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)!

you guys did a grat job on recoverying my data. after 3 companies told me it couldnt be done. i sent my hard drive to you and what do you know you were able to get all my data sent it back to me on CD so i wont loss it again. thank you very much

Not too often that you encounter a resource that does what they say, when they say and at the right price. Well, DATATECH Labs out of Denver, CO is all that and more when it comes to data recovery. I would without hesitation refer this company to anyone who has suffered the disaster of a hard drive meltdown. Got my data back quickly and the DTL team was a delight to work with.



Got all my data back and while I hope to never have to use them again, I'm keeping their info in a safe place just in case.

These guys did an evaluation on my hard drive before they charged me anything. called me back said it is only a simple recovery which i gladly paid for saved me almost $300 from the other guys.

After losing my life, small business, personal photos, and financial files, when my hard drive crashed; the guys at DataTech Labs recovered everything. I ran my hard drive over to them and within a couple hours they called me and told me how much it would cost and when it would be ready. The next morning I returned to their office all my files were on an external hard drive I purchased from them. The guys were very helpful, explaining in English what had happened and more importantly how to prevent it in the future.
