If I could put no stars I would. Rude, customer service agents in different states with supervisors in other states. 2 months-no services worked-got bill for over $800. Turned off my services on a Sunday. Talked to 15 people before one took only $125 off bill and said they were sorry. Never got the paper bill I needed. Next month,allegedly owed over $550-threatening to turn off again. 5 People before payment arrangement for 2/3 was accepted-even though remainder of service billed for is a month out. Before the $300 two days paid, the mob harrassed for remainder of the bill, again one month out. 6 people from 6 states before I could set up turn off. Louisiana is flooding-that was not their concern. They could turn off service today-though I will be billed for the next month. And no one can pick up their defective equipment. If I, a handicapped person, don't lug it back and wait over 3 hours for my number, they will bill me hundreds. WE DO NOT NEED THIS ENOUGH TO SUPPORT 0 SERVICE

I also wish I could give Cox a 0 star rating. In the year that I've been signed up for their slowest available plan of 100mbps, I've not once ever received more than 30-50mbps, and I only get strong signal about every 6 seconds.



The problem is the lines. The physical lines are in extremely bad condition, and not capable of consistent or high throughput. To fix this and make the service viable, Cox expects the consumer to pay an additional $10/month extra to take care of maintenance.



If you do not buy into their price gouging, you WILL NOT HAVE SERVICE. Period.

I wanted to give it a zero rating but can't!!!

This company really needs to be put out of business!!! I have been dealing with these people for over 3 months!!!!! I have called in, chatted online(which they don't keep records of), emailing back and forth, I have asked for managers so many times and nothing!! I can't get my call history when I sign in to my account anymore.

They written up so many damn tickets and not one person can tell me what the problem is!! Las email I sent out saying that I had had it and credit my account accordingly...no answer!! I just called corporate in Atlanta and the manager there Jackie said would refer me to local office manager and may call back in 24 hours!!! OMG!!!!

Cox-(beware)---This-sub contractor you sent out on N. foster Dr. today---raining---he did not even get out the truck---he said (line needed replacing)--to dangerous in rain!! Me (a dummy)--I can see the line disconnected on pole! Me thinks contractor padding the bill---Where is My internet-cable connection? pad your service to cox all you want--GET ME ON LINE-!!!!--Bill

Consider looking into other service providers in the area before settling with Cox Communications. Cox Communications is an especially poor choice if you are staying in New Orleans temporarily or for school. They are not good at stopping the billing process whenever you discontinue service; specifically, in two different service locations, this organization has continued to charge me after the agreed upon service end date. They have third party service representatives which sometimes will provide you with false information. I was told that I had no equipment left to return by a representative twice, and then I was told that I had equipment left to return once I had already left the state. If I had to do it all over again, I would have worked harder to see if any other service providers were available, and I would have gotten fewer services if I did choose Cox.
