I would avoid this business at all costs. They damaged my home when applying a water protectant to our chimney. They said they would repair the damage they made. They now refuse to answer the phone. I regard them as completely dishonest and untrustworthy

black soot all over house. guy tried to tell us that toilet vent pipes needed covers $150. what a scam. i will take them to small claims court if they dont pay for someone to clean this house

BEWARE!! This company is using Living Social and Groupon to get customers. They come to your house and write you an estimate for services - they take 1/2 in a deposit and then they promise you they will call to schedule the appt. I waiting 2 weeks for the call, they scheduled an appt 4 times and never showed up. Calls to the office go unanswered and when she does answer she is unhelpful. This is a SCAM - I have put a complaint in to the BBB but currently I am still out $250!!

I had Joseph Cecere install a chimney liner in my chimney in Oct. 08. He told me at the time the stainless steel chimney liner had a lifetime warranty, and the paperwork for it would be mailed to me afterwards.



It's now Jan 09 and i have called his business (his wife answers the phone, but the phone often goes unanswered), and asked for the warranty and each time she says she'll send it and i still haven't gotten anything.



When i tried to file a compliant on BBB website, I learned that "Clean Sweep Chimney Cleaners" is not registered on their site and you can't file a complaint unless you have a business address. I have his name and phone, but nowhere can i find an address in the phone book, online or on his bills/cards,, which is a little alarming. I also looked up his "CT License #" which is printed on his business card at the CT Consumer Protection Office and I can't find any listing for him.



As far as i know the installation itself was adequate, but their customer service is lacking and in hindsight i would not have hired him if i had realized he was hiding his physical address from customers.

I called Clean Sweep Chimney to have my flue cleaned. At the first appointment they said they could not clean the chimney as they needed a bigger ladder. At the second appointment they no showed. Subsequently would not return phone calls.
