This company & Robert Barbosa are not the company we thought they were. I have edited this review several times out of pure anger for what he/they did to my family and me. Those types of responses is not the type person I want to be, so I will review this company in a more civilized way and let God handle justice. At 1st Robert seemed to be a nice and sincere guy just trying to grow his business and give his customers good deals. He gave us a good price and decent time frame that the project was going to be done. We had a contract that we paid him by installments and we held our end of the deal to the tee. Barbosa & company got behind on the project and 2 days before Christmas 2013 they decided to just stop showing up. We tried several times to contact Mr. Barbosa to get an updated time frame that our house would be finished. Robert responded with all sorts of excuses to avoid the issue. Next, his "cousin" takes over the text conversations and claims that Robert had been injured etc. We knew that it was just Robert himself lying to us the entire time. Barbosa Maintenance chose to abandon the job & totally stop conversations with us all together. We sent a certified letter to his business address and he never responded to us. We got a lawyer involved and after several months of trying to find Mr. Barbosa because he doesn't have a correct address to be located. I was able to track him down myself. The process server got him the court papers and he still didn't take our demands serious. On 10/17/2014 with the help of our lawyer, we were granted judgement against Barbosa Maintenance from the Tarrant County Court. Right now Robert Barbosa has his mind set on not paying his debt to us because we tried to contact him to discuss how he plans to pay us his debt and he basically is going to blow us off. He seems to be as uncooperative as he was during the lawsuit. Robert Barbosa, you are really only going to hurt yourself in the long run. We are praying that you choose the right course of action for yourself, the lawyers, and us. Being upset with us or us being upset with you is not going to take care of the debt you owe us. It's not our intent to ruin your business, but you're giving us no choice. You stole our money and justice will be served no matter how long it takes. We DO NOT RECOMMEND Barbosa Maintenance to anybody looking for home remodeling because of how Mr. Barbosa treated us and how he gained our trust and took advantage of our dilligence of following the contract the way he set it up. We paid him what he asked, but he didn't provide the services that he promised. We're only asking Barbosa Maintenance to correct the problem that they caused.
