Very happy with their service. On time, put down protective tarp, put booties on their shoes in the house, very polite and professional and even know not to put ladder against gutter to get on roof. Did a test fire when they were completed.

I see in reading some of reviews, half are a gripe session from past employees who can't spell.

As far as the work provided (that's what I care about. Not your personal problems) - They have been to my home twice to work on separate chimney issues. Last year was to clean, re-mortar some of the fire bricks, install a cap, and seal the outside brick. This year was to clean the chimney, and give a quote on installing an adjustable chimney damper. The quote was reasonable and they will install that this week.

Ashley Chimney Service "cleaned" my pellet stove (10/09) and did not remove the soot from the stove pipe that connects to the stove. As such it clogged and damaged my pellet stove. I had to pay another $225 to have it properly cleaned and repaired. My mother in law had her pellet stove cleaned the same day by the same guys-guess what? They also did not remove the soot from the pipe so my mother in law, who is on a fixed income, had to also pay again to have her stove fixed and re-cleaned. We both had seperate companies re-clean the stoves and both are willing to talk to whomever is needed to prove the damage. We both have called Ashley Chimney (Vancouver, WA) numerous times and the person who answers assures me the owner will get back to me and "make it right". Of course, no call backs.

To add insult to injury, today Ashley Chimey Service called me to say that since I was a "valued customer" they wanted to know if I wanted my house siding cleaned!!! I again told them the issue and the caller told me that he doubts highly that anyone there cares or will call me back. Nice. Do not use this company. They did not do the job right and they don't care about their customers-including senior citizens.

Same review as Oliver was talking about. As a employ who worked for Williams. This guy was a dirtbag. He had a office in the back yard in a shed. I've asked if I could use a restroom. And he said "are you asking me to supply a restroom??? He then said no we don't have one fore you. So the next day of training with him (even though I had over 3 years of exp). They owner said to fill up the radiator every day because it leaks... of I did what he wanted me to do. But then I noticed something with this junk van. They doors never open from the inside of the vehicle. You had to roll the window down to open on the outside. But there was another problem. The window handle was broken off... so anyone who really needs work.. go on elsewhere. I went to a job. Then he shows up. And moves my damn ladder. So when I came off the roof. He puts the ladder boots on a mossy deck where the boots kicked out from underneath me...and I fell off 10ft hight. I told him. We should be more careful on how we are placing ladders. And the next day I was let go. So if you fall... sue this guy. I sure wish I did.

We hired Ashley to clean and service our pellet stove. several weeks after the service I tried to light the stove but the pellet auger didn't work anymore. When they sent a repairman back he couldn't figure out what was wrong and left with nothing resolved! Ashley then had a repair person from Morton stove come out and all that kid tried to do was sell us a new stove! He didn't even look at the stove! When we did get someone to come out that knew what they were doing, we found out that Asahley charged us for a full service cleaning, but only did a surface vaccumming! the screens on both blowers were plugged with grease and thick dust so no air was even getting to the blowers! A very lazy half hearted job and a great rip off!!!

As a former employee from their I would never use them or work for a company as bad as them the owners are not respectful to their employees they do not follow code and state laws the office is in the back of his rental house in a piece of crap shed buyer beware bad company bad company bad company they have people working under the table and doing chimney sweeps on drugs

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Very unprofessional. Did damage to the chimney do to careless workers and would not repair it. Owner is unprofessional. Hung up on me when I was trying to get them to fix what they broke. Rip off company.
