Very poor service. I called Nov '16 and spoke with Charles and inquired if he repaired Singer vintage Sewing Machine. He assured me he did. I then informed him of the age, model, and that it needed servicing, a power cord, belt, and light bulb replaced. He again that he was very familiar with singer machine, and had all the parts. I took it in. After 2 weeks he didn't call so I called, he informed me that it was not ready, to call back next week. I waited and called back two weeks later, and he informed me that it was ready. I asked if the power cord was replaced, he replied that the "guy said it didn't need it." I told him that the cord was badly frayed and I requested it repaired and if he wasn't going to do all I requested that he should have told me, Anyway, I went and picked it up. He had it in the his car and he started rushing me to pay him, and he would put it in car. I told him I needed to see what was done before I paid him. All this time we were outside, and he responded so you want to check it out here on the sidewalk. I responded if that's the only place you have, yes. (he would not allow me in the Cluttered store). He opened the case, and I couldn't see what had been done. I asked for a receipt itemizing what had done, he refused to give me one; I asked him what had been done, he responded he did not know that he did not work on it that he took it to someone because he never worked on a sewing machine a day in his life. I enquire why he didn't tell me that when I called him? I again asked for a receipt and he refused. I continuing to question him and he picked my machine up and walk toward his car to put it in. I insisted that he give me my machine, and informed him that he was doing business improperly due to not giving me a receipt when I dropped it off, and when I picked it up. He charged me a $100 for unexplained services. I paid him because I wanted to get my machine since I did not have a receipt for evidence that he had it.
