I had a terrible experience with Ellery and All Trades and would never recommend anyone work with him. I contracted with him for a two-phase project. Phase one was a full house repipe to fix a water leak in my foundation. This was to be completed in mid-March, with a portion to be held over and completed with phase two. Phase two was a partial master bath remodel. This was to be started in late April.

Phase one went mostly as planned and was paid for in full with the intention that it be fully completed with phase two.

Phase two kept getting delayed. I paid a $1,000 deposit in mid-May. When we got into late May and still no clear start date, I more or less demanded the project get started the week of May 21st. The master tub and shower were torn out, but then more delays. After a week and a half of no work and a call to say Ellery wouldn't be back the day he said he would, I asked if materials (tub, tile, faucets) had at least been ordered. I was told multiple times, "Oh yeah, that's all good." I started to suspect this wasn't the case, so I checked with the tile store. No order had been placed.

I called Ellery and asked about this. He was rude and aggressive, finally yelling at me and saying he was done, that I could pay him for what he had done, and he would give me back the rest. I said I'm sorry he felt that way, but that in that case he owed me a thousa... and he hung up on me. I called and left a message to say that I expected the full $1,000 deposit returned since the original repipe had never been completed despite having been paid for in full. A couple days later, I received a check by certified mail for $675 along with an extremely rude letter. And now I have half a master bath ripped out and abandoned.

I would never recommend this business to anyone.

We had quite a bit of work don...

We had quite a bit of work done on our home by All Trades! We had new contertops put in our kitchen. In our bathrooms we replaced our vanities, plumbing (toilets and sinks) and countertops. We also reconfigured one of our bathrooms and had some carpentry work done. We added new fixtures and recessed lighting everywhere. This crew can do anything. The expense and choices were always discussed with us before any work was done. Our home looks beautiful and we will use All Trades again!

We hired All Trades to work on my mother's older home. We could not have picked a more wonderful group of people. Ellery and his crew were upfront on materials and cost. Their work was professional and they strived to do everything so perfectly. If we have any other projects All Trades will be the only one we will call. Danny and Pam Lunsford

We used this company to renovate a master bathroom. Worst experience EVER! We were told it would take 3 weeks maximum to complete, we finally got them to finish up a shower, not even completing the job just to get them out of our home. They went way over budget, left water stains on our ceilings, and the owner, Ellery became very combative when we called him out on the poor tile job. He even went so far as to call my home "a piece of crap" which is far from the truth. When you spend upwards of $16,800.00 towards a bathroom remodel, you expect more than a shoddy job. Shame on us for continuing to pay him. We originally decided to go with his company because a friend used them for some odds and ends renovation. We liked the fact that he seemed easy going. What was supposed to be a 3 week job lasted 10 weeks and resulted in so many problems which he then said "he had to correct". Beware of this contractor. do not pay him on a week to week basis as he completes the jobs... get a final price up front, not his usual giving you a range of low to high. Shameful.
