We have moved to our house 2 years ago and haven’t had a chimney sweep since because we have used about 3/4 of a cord. We figured it was finally time to do so and called Advanced Chimney andI was able to get an appointment within a week. Upon arrival, they took a look up my chimney and said they will not be taking my money today because our chimney has barely anything in it and there is no cleaning required. We were told we were good for another year. I was surprised and appreciative for the honesty. Afterwards we talked about inserts and the owner went into great detail explaining to me what is included in the price, that the process is and making me understand what works best and why. Will be using them again next year and possibly for an insert in the future.

The man I used to use for chimney cleaning retired, so I contacted Advanced Chimney. The owner actually answered the phone and we talked for several minutes before I scheduled an appointment for a free estimate. I really liked the fact that the owner and all of his technicians are professional firefighters. They run this business on the side. They showed up on time for the estimate and thoroughly inspected my fireplace/chimney. It was clear I was dealing with professionals by their overall knowledge and how they inspected everything. I hired them and I will use them for chimney cleanings moving forward. Also, they honored the coupon I found online and I’m having them repair the crown of my chimney the next time they come, as it’s beginning to deteriorate. I highly recommend this service and I have already referred them to my next door neighbor.

I am a first time customer of ACS. I found them after doing a search on the Web and reading through the various reviews. I decided to Call and make an appointment to have my chimney cleaned and inspected. Dan arrived on time and the cleaning was thorough and completed within an hour. My chimney has never looked so good! The price was a good deal for a certified chimney company. I will recommend ACS to any and all who need chimney service. After whopping $800 BGE bill (and we kept the house at 62-63...brrr), Advanced Chimney installed a fireplace insert in our existing fireplace February 09. Wife was doubting Thomas over cost savings, heat output, and appearance. Next month's BGE bill was down to $300 and house stayed WARM. Looks beautiful too - Dan did an outstanding job with installation. Advanced Chimney handled cleaning after the winter season too. They were on time, super clean, and very professional. Would highly recommend this company. We no longer dread opening our BGE bills in the winter.

ACS is fantastic! They recently completed a chimney job for us and it was amazing. Everything was completed properly and prompt. I highly recommend this company and would definitely recommend to everyone!

ACS did a fantastic job installing a wood stove/chimney for our new home in the Towson area. Dan worked with my builder during the framing stage, and came back to do the stove install... Dan even came over to start it up for the first time and provide instructions/guidance! The entire ACS team was on time, professional, informative, and flexible. Stove looks AND works great!

Rude and abrupt. Claimed they are booked for the rest of the year and not taking new customers, yet failed to recommend any alternatives. Also, asked for location of house before claiming they were booked (if they knew they were booked, why ask for the location before saying so?). If they are busy, it isn't due to their customer service.

Advanced Chimney Solutions replaced a chimney cap for us. They were prompt, coming out the next day after they gave us an estimate. They returned phone calls promptly (within minutes!) We have not had such good service in a long time. J F in Baldwin

I found this company in the yellow pages and called them to do minor repairs on the chimney and clean the wood stove. I have received nothing less than excellent service from the first telephone call to completion of the job. I am very impressed with this company. Dan went above and beyond to be sure everything was perfect. I guarantee you will be more than satisfied with the service you will receive from this company.

I have been a customer of ACS for over 5 years. I purchased 2 pellet stoves from them and I have them perform yearly maintenace on my 2 stoves, dryer vent and furnace pipe. I would rate the service of the owner and staff as EXCELLENT and would highly recommend them to my friends.

The two men who Advanced sent out didn't even bother getting up on the roof to look inside our chimney. They looked at the age of the wood stove and the age of the furnace, took a guess about the kind of flue inserts and made recommendations (to spend a lot of money) based on something they never saw with their own two eyes (well okay, two guys = 4 eyes!). If they had actually looked inside the chimney, they would have been able to alert me to the unsafe condition of the chimney itself and the fact that the opening for the furnace flue was entirely blocked by debris, but that our wood burning stove flue was fine and actually could have been cleaned and used.After speaking with the owner about it (mea culpa, about a month later), the best I received was an apology and an assurance that that's not typically how they do things. Bad business, I say.

We first called Advanced Chimney Solutions to clean our 2 chimneys and clothes dryer duct when we moved to the area last year. In addition to cleaning the chimneys and the dryer duct, Dan and his team showed us many things we didn't know about both the fireplace and wood stove in our 10 year old house; and suggested improvements to get the most out of heating our house with wood. We just had a wood stove insert installed into our fireplace and everything is working like they said it would. These guys know their products and the materials they work with. We're looking forward to many years of working with them for regular maintenance and improvements. Their Website has a lot of good information.

I interviewed 5 different company for a repair from a chimeny fire & to replace the stove/insert and choose Advanced Chimney Solutions. This company is made up of firemen who are not only extremely knowledge, but care about the safty of my family as well as the beauty of my home. Their attention to detail is amazing. They have come to my home for the past three years for the yearly maint. They are friendly and outgoing and I couldn't be happier with their service or the feeling of security they give me.
