5 Star Movers helped me for the first time. I had several breakables, which were handled with care. They also sent pleasant movers who were very professional and nice to me. They encountered multiple flights of stairs and my previous apartment had a broken AC but they weren’t bothered at all! They executed my move perfectly, which made me wonder why I bothered helping them?

I have never ever encountered such an unprofessional business in my life. I’ve used this company 2 times before without an incident. In fact, I even referred several friends. But NEVER AGAIN. The owner, Michael Merlino, is not the same guy he was during my previous moves with his company. He is rude, very unprofessional and completely lacks communication skills. I called to follow-up on obtaining proof of insurance for my move, which I had called about a few days earlier. Unfortunately, the owner Michael answered the phone and not the very nice woman I had spoken to when I booked and called about my insurance certificate. Michael was immediately defensive on the phone when I tried to explain why I was calling. He accused me on being a liar and said F* U and then proceeded to ramble about how he was having a bad day. I was very confused by his demeanor as I was not attacking..I simply wanted to know how to get a copy of his insurance for my building. He screamed at me so loudly some of my co-workers in my office heard him and came to ask if I was okay after the call. Needless to say now my entire office knows to stay clear of this place. I highly recommend Shelppers!! They are FANTASTIC!! Super professional, friendly and my building received their certificate of insurance an hour after I booked with them! They even gave me a discount after I told them of my phone call with 5 Star Moving owner Michael Merlino.

On time. Efficient. Detailed driven and nothing was damaged. I will use 5 star when I move again.
