This place has very good food...I tried their carne asada fries and they were really good! Their carne asada is different from all the 50+ plus taco shops I've eaten at! It’s very good, it’s almost like little pieces of fine steak! They prices are very reasonable unlike most taco shops. The place is very clean always and their friendly service makes you want to go back often! Great taco shop, great food!

I really liked this taco shop! It has to be in the top three that I've found so far. Me and my husband ordered two California burritos, Carne Asada fries, and a kids meal for our daughter (bean and cheese burrito, fries and a Capri Sun) The food was very good but it was CHEAPER :)!!! Most places charge you around 6 dollars for a Cali burrito but they were only 4.95 here. Oh and one of the best parts about this place???? It was every clean! When you order you can see the kitchen and see that it's clean. I really like this place and I'm for sure going back!

One of the best shops around they have reasonable prices and the foods always fresh and tasty! I like the 12 roll tacos for $6. The burritos are very good too. Check these guys out you'll be glad you did...As always stay classy San Diego and have a great day!

Ok last night was the first time I came to check out this place I have recently been hearing them on 106.5 and let me tell you one thing, you cannot go wrong with this place seriously !... you have to try their house burrito it’s my favorite it has steak & shrimp with lettuce and some type of creamy sauce in it but just to top it off ask for their Habanero sauce it's the real deal , .. and I tasted their green hot sauce its actually pretty good you can taste the cilantro FIVE STARS FOR CALIFORNIAS TACO SHOP!

The food was very good, salsas were tasty which to me it’s very important, food portions were on the money (good size) very very clean and the guy at the front was friendly (jose). we live in menifee ca and would definitely stop by for a bite any time were in town.

Honestly best food ever. Every time I go its supper busy... But it’s worth waiting for my house special burrito. O and I will be trying to beat the big mama burrito that they have.

My favorite place to eat!! They have the best California burrito and my daughters love the carne asada fries, and omg!! The habanera salsa is so good!! And the customer service is great.

I went in for the "Big Mama" Challenge, when I was faced with a 4 pounds of deliciousness. I got down to half of the beast, but I couldn't continue, not because if was gross, but because I was stuffed. I wanted to keep eating, but I was defeated. I came back the following week and they introduced the Surfer Fries, which is Carne asada fries, with an added amount of succulent grilled shrimp. I highly recommend this place.

Just had their surf n turf fries ,, they r really good u can tell they don't skimp on the shrimp they load it to the max !!..

I didn’t use to go a lot to this taco shop but since it went under new management things are much better...noticed that the meat is way better than before and i love their carne asada FRIES!!!!!! and the place looks way better and very clean inside. Their customer service is awesome. It is one of the best taco shops that I've been to.

I was recently there for Taco Tuesday and we really liked the flavor of the food! The prices were low, a great deal for dinner for the whole family. Also, I loved the fact that the place was spotless! I will definitely be back for more.

Just had their surf n turf burrito and is great !! I really don't want to try anything else that's how much liked their surf n turf ... Inside looks pretty cool with schools they donated to looks like a good place with good atmosphere

First off walking into a place located in national city you would not expect to see pictures on the wall filled with famous people enjoying authentic yes "authentic " as it gets they are clean and know how to please your pallet ...i tell you this place has the best TJ tacos in San Diego period dare to compare.......I am in heaven....

Today I came to California's taco shop because i was told by a couple friends who have visited this taco shop that it is the best in national city and they were correct I have been to many different taco shops in the area and have not been very excited to return until I tried California’s taco shop when I walked in I ordered the roll tacos and a drink and had a California burrito the meat was very good the meat was juicy the guacamole was fresh their tj style tacos are also very good this is a place to go to if you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant located close in national city this is the place to go their pictures on the wall of all the famous people are fun to look at I can’t wait to come back to national city and come and eat here again thank you California’s taco shop for your great service!

Wow "Habanero Hot Sauce"..... perfect , you can’t go wrong with the California burrito !.. this is my new spot to eat from now on!!

I like this place a lot they r always adding new stuff like turf grass when u walk inn good customer service my fave is their house burrito it has steak shrimp cerrano peppers that give it a good kick!

This is my brothers favorite taco shop! Now mine too! He doesn't eat somewhere else! Every time he goes they know what he’s gonna order! I recommended a lot! Great food! Specially the carne asada burrito!!!

cis one of my top 5. I’m 15 and us teenagers love mexican food. the service is great. the cashier guy is really chill. and most of all, THEIR CARNE ASADA FRIES ARE BOMB!!!! I lived right down the street from here and I go here often. I can get a pretty big box of carne asada fries for about 7.30$. and it is DELICIOUS. I love this place and it is a go-to spot for any carne asada fry lovers.
