In December, 2008 we completed our upgrade to include a new Varian® dual photon linear accelerator and integrated treatment planning system to provide the communities of the Southwest Mississippi and Southeast Louisiana regions with the best technology offered worldwide. We provide the newest technologies which include electron beam therapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), automated multi-leaf collimation, digital real-time portal imaging, cone-beam CT, comprehensive treatment planning, electronic record and verify technology and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). Using the new On-Board Imager® kV imaging system and Dynamic Targeting® image-guided radiotherapy, or IGRT, we can treat tumors more precisely, and with fewer side effects than ever before.
