Founded in 1959, St. Pius X Classical Academy enrolls students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school teaches language arts, science, social studies, mathematics and Latin. It provides a visual arts program that includes sculpture, painting and architecture-related instructional services. St. Pius X Classical Academy s music classes offer lessons on Adoremus Hymnal. The school s religious curriculum includes St. Joseph s Baltimore s catechism and other Christian-based teachings. The school maintains a student organization, choir group and musical band. It additionally operates a home and school association that coordinates with parent volunteers for academy events and activities. St. Pius X Classical Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.
