First of all I wanted to say that this work was done around 7 months ago. I had originally intended to have another company do the work since they had been out before to clear out tree roots from my main line, but decided against that after having bad customer service experience with them (I left a review for that company also).



Morton Plumbing was super quick and very thorough. I hired them to dig up the main line in my front yard and replace it since there were large masses of tree roots growing into it. They came out on a Thursday with a telescoping imaging unit and found where the crack in the line was very quickly. They originally thought that they weren't going to be able to do the work until that Monday because the gas lines needed to be marked before they dug with the backhoe, which sometimes takes the utilities 48 hrs to respond to the request to come out and mark and also because their usual backhoe operator was already scheduled for another job.



They didn't leave it be with that though. They said they were not comfortable leaving us there all weekend without the ability to use the plumbing so they managed to get someone out to mark the gas lines and scheduled a different backhoe operator for the very next day. When the whole crew got out there, they dug the line up and found that not only was there a break, but that the pipes had never been properly sealed when installed to begin with. They ended up not only replacing the section with the break, but the also dug about halfway out to the street, and under a huge tree root with the backhoe to replace all of the the old pipes. Let me tell you that this tree root was huge and very difficult to get through! I thought for sure that my estimated bill would go up because they did a lot more work that originally estimated, however that was not the case. Not only was my bill still exactly what we had already agreed upon, but they were extremely thorough with the backfill, cleanup and reseeding of my lawn. I discovered later that the amount I paid for this work was close to 25% - 50% less than what some other companies charge for this. I actually had an estimate from another company that was almost double what Morton charged.



If I ever need plumbing services again, I will DEFINITELY call Morton Plumbing!
