Visiting Nashville (during 2022 final four weekend) for my wife’s work and one of the her employees recommended this establishment for our icebreaker meeting. There was so much food being past around that there’s no way to leave hungry or disappointed. Service was right up there with the food. We had chicken, catfish, meatloaf, corn pudding, green veggies, sweet potatoes, rolls, sweetened and unsweetened ice tea. My wife who can usually find something wrong with the meal was impressed as was all at our table. So when in Nashville do stop by Monell’s for a good home cooked Sunday styled dinner. I hear the breakfast is to great also. We’ll be back!!

The indoor and outdoor atmosphere is terrific. Food is served family style and it was delicious. It was noisy inside and it was hard to hear other people talk at my table. Maybe that was because we were next to the kitchen. I say their prices are pretty high. I asked for some juice and I had to pay extra for it. My bill was $18!

My PTSA and I went here for our year-end breakfast! The food and service were OUTSTANDING! The breakfast included FRIED CHICKEN! Every thing was delicious!

Monells delivered our catered meal and it was on time, hot, and delicious. The fried chicken, corn pudding, and banana pudding are to die for!

I get an e-mail 7 days ago from monells asking how my experience was. Last time I was there was in Dec. I explained how the staff was rude and since it was my 30th birthday I was bummed. I got an email back saying that they were sorry for my experience but I should have let them know sooner and gave me attitude in e-mail about it. the gentleman Michael said I should have let them know and I e-mailed him back and let him know that I did tell the people at the register .... OK. Well you asked for my experience and I give it to you. Please don't give me attitude when you guys were the ones to send me an e-mail 5 months later.

We had no idea what to expect when we parked on the street, but once we sat down at a table with 4 other groups we were convinced that it had to be good. So much food was passed around and everything was so flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend Monell's if you enjoy good food and meeting new people.

Monell's is a truly unique dining experience. We arrived early and were seated at a table for 10 there were only four in our party. Shortly after being seated and starting to pass the salads around (there were four different selections) they seated another four guests at our table and it quickly became an active conversation about food, travel, and dining experience.



When the started bringing out the main sides and the meats it was incredible. Meatloaf, fried chicken, pulled pork, and fried catfish.



I'll eat there next time I'm in Nashville it's now one of focus points when in that city.

best Southern food I have eaten. Go there as often as possible

Monell's puts all left overs from tables back in with the fresh in the kitchen to be reused unless the health dept happens to be there.

A friend and I were in Nashville-this is a true story-being a huge Oprah fan, we looked up her dad's barber shop in Nashville. I actually went there and Vernon Winfrey cut my hair. We asked him to recommend a good place to eat and he said Monell's. Of course we took his advice and I have to say, I thought they had my mom cooking there! It is real home cooked food; bowls get passed around the table just like at home and it is the best eating I have had since my mom cooked for me! You will definitely leave full-no STUFFED! The amount of food you get to choose from is unreal. You have to go there if you are in Nashville!!!
