Genesis Diamonds was very courteous to me when I was shopping with my fiance. What I liked most was the fact no one tried to pressure me to buy. Even though it was a rather large sale being a 2ct diamond, I took several weeks and a few visits to settle on the mounting. Each time the salesperson encouraged me to be sure of my selection because it would be like a lifetime investment. She also encouraged me to shop around to any competitor. I found that the price for the certified diamond was a couple thousand dollars less than the best price for the same grade stone elsewhere. I appreciate their patience and help in working with me to make this a special part of getting married.

facts:

1. i purchased a watch from genesis diamonds and it literally fell apart in TWO months.

2. i was given another watch which promptly began to have a loose pin, but caught it before it came apart.

3. in summary, one watch fell apart in two months and not long after the second watch was soon to follow suit.

afraid to wear it in fear of losing it, i looked to the company to make things right and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!!!!!!!

so i am stuck with an inferior product and all they say is "sorry"

BEWARE and don't say you were not warned

I have been into Genesis about 4 times. Each time the staff has been extremely rude and I have felt very pressured by them. The pressure comes with "wanting to make you a great deal" (that day) and "you can get any ring in any setting you want" (but they have no way of designing it and showing you how it would look before you would purchase it) They also start to pressure you into a certain ring. They won't let you look for long or will leave you for another customer when they are tired of helping.



On one occasion while I was there I overheard one sales woman trying to talk a gentlemen out of buying a ring that he liked. I'm not entirely sure why she would do that. She kept talking about how a woman wouldn't like that type of style. I thought that was extremely rude. But the gentlemen was persistant in what he wanted to buy (good for him!)



Visiting Genesis has not been an enjoyable experience whatsoever! I will say that the one upswing is that they do have a large selection to look at, but given my 4 times there and having the same experience, I would not want to buy from them.
