My search for a decent Indian restaurant in the Nashville area since I emigrated from the UK has been most disappointing. I have eaten in a wide variety of Indian establishments in Britain and I can now appreciate just how great the restaurants are over there. The best of.... has certainly proved the closest thing to a good Indian meal so far. It is reasonably priced, pretty OK fare and you bring your own booze!! (Always a plus in a state which financially punishes those who like a tipple). I have tried all of the Indian restaurants in the Nashville area now and this gets above a 3 which means they must be doing something right. Friendly staff add points to this restaurant also.



Just a note to the Indian chefs of Nashville though, 1- There need to be more rice options on the menu (ie, mushroom rice, vegetable pilau etc), 2- Chicken Tikka is not meant to be bright red and should be moist 3- Samosas should be light pastry, not the dense chewy abomination you all insist on filling with tasteless veg! This is not a comment specifically aimed at best of... although it does need to look at this also.
