Going to Bates Nursery is a real treat, almost a day trip out Whites Creek Pike. I love their selection of herbs and perennials. They are also very generous by donating leftover vegetable plants at the end of the growing season to nonprofits.

Great nursery, good selection, and very knowledgable people. Plus they do a very informative seasonal newsletter.

Love everything about Bates Nursery, from their selection to service. It's totally worth the drive out to Whites Creek. Ninety percent of the plants and trees in our yard are from Bates.
