Courteous, on time, answered all my questions, wonderful, efficient, did exactly what I needed to be done, polite, satisfied!

Came out quick and did not cost as much as I thought it would.

Nice people. Came out when they said they would and fixed it quick.

I called them due to no heat. It was subfreezing and they said they would be there the next day. They never showed or called. I called back, they said it was a mixup and they'd be out the next day. Again, no show. Four days after the first call they called to tell me they would come out but if my unit was frozen it would cost 300 dollars to thaw it, up front. AVOID this place! Unreliable and costly.

ARS Nashville installed a new Heat Pump (Trane) in our house this December. Everybody from Sales to the Installers were great. The work was beautiful and they were proud of it. On another occasion I was out of town and we had a water leak. Since they also do plumbing I called them to help my wife out with the leak. This team was prompt courteous and the price was very reasonable. The will be our HeatAir and plumbing company from now on. (Found them doing a survey at Home Depot for Air replacement.)

ARS Nashville installed a new HVAC split system for our house in July, 2009. They had problems in the past and I was hesitant to let them do the work. They said they just had a new general manager to shake up the whole operation. They also offered the lowest price for equivalent equipments and warranty among the companies I talked with. Two guys spent a whole day installing the system and the overall work was very good. I was with them all the time, offering a hand and asking a question occasionally. I don't know whether my presence had made them more careful on the job. The system worked well except the furnace fan (hanging under floor joists in crawlspace) would vibrate the floor above it. I contacted them about the issue and they said they would put in vibration pads but never did it. They fixed a couple minor errors during winter maintenance in October, and when I mentioned the vibration, Chris (the quality guy) modified air return to fix it. All the ARS guys were nice.

This is the company that was sent out to my home with my home warranty company, AHS, American Home Shield. We had a time scheduled from 12 to 4. They finally showed up around 6:30 pm. Initially they seemed very professional. They assessed that our unit was under warranty and that the part that had to be replaced would be no problem. Our unit was only 3 years old. It was inside our home in the basement. There was a problem with access which the technician informed us of right away. He said that our water heater was blocking the air conditioning unit and that it would have to be moved before they could do the work. He also stated that it would probably not be covered by our home warranty. I accepted that fact and readied myself for the additional cost of having the water heater moved. He said that ARS could do plumbing work too and that they would give a free estimate on moving the water heater. I thought, okay that will work out fine. Along with the bad motor he also recommended that our coils be cleaned. He took a few pictures and said he would submit his recommendations for approval. The next day when I got home, I got a message from AHS refusing the claim because the technician reported that the motor was bad due to our neglecting to maintain the unit. He reported that the coils were 50% clogged and that that was why the motor failed. This was an outright lie. AHS refused to pay anything toward the repair. I paid a $60 deductible to ARS which they initially tried to say was payment to AHS and not to them. I let them know that I made the check out to ARS not AHS. Then they conceded. I asked them if the $60 payment they already received would go toward the repair and they said no. I hung up and called another HVAC repair company. They came out and arrived at the same conclusion that the motor was under warranty and defective. We had a close look at the coils and found no excessive dirt whatsoever. It was almost clean. The technician from the other company stated that he had seen this problem with this motor before. He stated that he had replaced three others and that it was a factory defect where a weld point was missing or improperly welded. ARS is not a company that I would recommend. They did us a great disservice by lying for the benefit of denying a home warranty claim. That is no way to do business. That is no way to treat people. I want to warn anyone who needs this type of work done not to use this company. There is no need to do people this way. I would not use or recommend this company to anyone. They must get enough money from the home warranty company not to want to obtain business the right way by doing a good job and gaining repeat business and referrals.
