Mike Rodriguez asks me my "preferred rate of pay". He didn't specify mechanical drafting, mechanical designer, or engineering, so I basically do his job for him by explaining that to him and citing those respective rates. He laughs at me. I ask, "What's so funny?" He asks why an engineer would want to do drafting. I had already told him I am doing janitorial part-time in the evenings to get by. I tell him, "When you're cleaning toilets at night for 9 dollars an hour, that drafting grass sure looks greener." What an idiot. I guess he lives at home with his mom and can afford to hold out for his dream job. Recruiters are useless frat boys and sorority girls with no marketable skills whatsoever who only have a "purpose" thanks to labor law loopholes orchestrated by corporate owners who want throw-away workers in case of spooky economic skies on the horizon.
