Went here for a Saturday dance and agree the surroundings are most unpleasant. Strong smoke and mildew smell. Not a professional or comfortable dancing environment at all.

Did not enjoy my experience at this dance hall. Attended a nearby Fred Astaire and was blown away by the difference.

We love to get our dancing /exercise in every Saturday. We have not taken lessons but the teachers are friendly and dance during mixers. A smile by a newcomer goes a long way. We enjoy talking with regulars and newcomers.Smokey? never have experienced.

Unclear teaching instruction. Dark atmosphere and the young teacher was not pleasant.

I love the Saturday night dances at Modern Steps. The music, the atmosphere and the camaraderie make for an enjoyable night of dancing and socializing.

Great dance studio! Big floor, great music at their weekly party. Sunday group class is the best!

Best Dance Parties, best dance floor and best teachers. I found the other comments amusing. I have been going to this studio for six years. Its not "smoke filled" and the place is as friendly as anyone makes it. The Saturday party is a public dance and 99% of the dancers on Saturday parties are not students of Modern Steps. Many people on Saturday don't know who's "visiting" so don't blame the studio

Modern Steps has everything a ballroom dancer wants--a great floor, good music, weekly party and the best instruction for people who want to learn how to dance well.

We are new to the area and found out about Modern Steps from an on line search. We went to the open dance one Saturday night and were made to feel so unwelcome we will never go back. We were only spoken to by other dancers when someone asked me if his friend had gone into the ladies room. This is clearly a place for only those who already belong to the clique. I would not recommend this to anyone. We have gone to two other studios in the Naples area and had a totally different experience.

Dark, run down, smoke filled place. No receptionist and no one ever answers the phone. No other students ever taking lessons while I was there.
