I originally stared taking my boat to Gulf Coast because they are an certified ETEC repair center but I have continued to go there for all my service to to their excellent customer service and what I think are fair prices.

This past week I took my boat in to have a new helm & Power Pole installed as well as an electrical issue that was draining my battery. They called me a few day later and said the battery wasn't draining when the battery switch was off and recommended keeping the switch off when not in use. They said they could try to trace the issue but that in their opinion it wouldn't be worth the cost to try and find it when turning the battery switch off did it and it could be something very minor so a $1.00 could run several hundred in labor. When I arrived to pick up my boat they spent around 30 min with me going over the new Power Pole and how it works as well as showing me the work they did. They also said they noticed an issue with one of my trailer tires and showed it to me. They suggested replacing this tire with my spare for now and consider getting new tires in the near future. They didn't try to sell me new tires but rather said let them know if I want them to get them for me. In this day and age when it seems like so many businesses are trying to find things to increase the price it's nice to see a company that doesn't do unneeded work and points out issues that they see even when that wasn't the reason for my boat being in there. I would highly recommend Gulf Coast Marine!

I've had two boats worked o there and both have been professionally done. I'm very pleased with their service and the rapid turnaround. I know a few Captains who take their boats there and all agree it's an excellent experience.

Lucky I Found Them!

As an older first time boat owner, I was naive about the importance of a reliable, competent and trustworthy Marine Service. My early experiences were with people who opened the conversation by quoting their hourly rate. They then proceeded to replace something and collect on their invoice. When I'd be towed in the next day from the Gulf, they would replace something else and bill me. It was never on whether the problem was fixed but rather on how many hours they had in. I stumbled onto GulCoast because they had fabricated an unusual step for the boat of a disabled neighbor. I had finally found someone who did the job the first time for a fair price and have never looked back. When I remotored they were the dealer for the revolutionary Evininrude E-Tec-what a motor. Have now been using GulfCoast Marine since 2006GeorgeNaples FL

Very Impressive.

Hi Nick, Just wanted you to know, our neibhor is very impressed with the service he has received from Nick Jr. He was impressed with the thorough examination Nick gave of his boat and that he only recommended those things that needed replacement now. he said it is the first time any mechanic did such a thorought inspection and showed such "Customer Concern." VERY VERY VERY BAD Marina

One of the worst Marina's to go too. Drove from jacksonville to Naples to look at a boat at this marina. Ken Main II lyed about the boat he posted. He posted a two year old pictures of the boat said nothing was wrong with the boat but a crack blocked. Told me that the interior just needed to be clean. But the interior was destroyed with rips in the seats 12 inches long, three of the seats were missing, the boat didn't even have a engine cover to go over the back of the boat to cover the engine, speakers were ripped out of the boat, different trailer was under the boat when we arrived, and the list goes on and on. This man is a very dishonest person that would do anything to sell you junk. Word of advice STAY AWAY from this marine. Not to mention that when I was standing there in utter shock of looking at this boat another man pulled up and demanded his boat out of the marine and he said he was going to move it to another marina. HUMMM!! Showed me what kind of business he is trying to r

Bad business

I contacted Gulf Coast Marine to remove a dispose of a boat. They came the first time as expected. But with problems with tide levels, it took three phone calls to get a response. After $500, they finally came to take the boat away. To dispose of the boat, I was quoted around $300.00 plus the dump fee of around $120. The final billing was $900. I believe they upped the costs and overcharged me.Overall, I would NEVER do business with these types...ever.
