A terrible therapist. Mary Ellen Bratu wastes time telling you about psychological conditions that are of no relevance to your own. She will lie to you with issues she prefers not to deal with. She will be emotionally aloof during the therapy process. She does not have any patiece with her client's therapy process. All her years of experience only leads her to stick to her scripted answers in discussions. She forgets things that were very important to you and will deny saying things you specifically remember her saying. All this leads to very painful therapy sessions. I absolutely hated my experience with her and do believe I was much worse off than I started.

I had a terrible experience when she was an intern. She knew she was leaving at the end of the year, but refused to tell me as a patient. This little detail was not something minor, since I was going through abandonment issues at the time. She would then make up reasons for never allowing me closure for this. If there is something she does not like about being a psychotherapist, she will just lie, to make up a reason why you will never have closure. She is one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

I have had an awful experience with her. She does not pay much attention to your specific needs, and makes generalizations about you, and your experiences. She forgets to tell you things that will be important to later, or leave it up to your next therapist to tell you. When you find out, she will blame you for the mistake. It's was very stressful working with her, and I do not recommend her.
