I'm yet to find "my" salon, so I was hoping Jus' Hair would be it. After reading other Yelp reviews and doing some online searching, I bought the Groupon for a haircut, deep conditioning, and full highlights. I arrived to my appointment almost 10 minutes late, but when I checked in the receptionist told me my stylist Alysia, was just finishing up with her previous client, not to worry. So I had a seat and waited. And waited. 30 minutes later the receptionist had to go remind my stylist that I was there. While I waited I got to take I the decor. This is your run of the mill decorated themselves salon, nothing professional but nice. The waiting area was tiny, very worn couch, and a few chairs. Back to waiting. Alysia, very flustered, came over finally and introduced herself and hustled me into a chair after whispering with the receptionist and another stylist. She asked me what I wanted to do, keeping it really brief and then getting me over to a sink to have my conditioning treatment done. She kept saying she was having a bad day and just seemed downright unhappy. She left me to sit with my deep conditioning on and finished up with her other client. She kind of tried to apologize once more, but it was weird and you could tell she had a lot on her mind. I was a little irritated about my wait but I wanted to move on and was pleasant. She did my cut first, which I explained to her to take minimal off the ends as I was growing out my hair. She also told me she was putting a little bit of some layering in the back for volume. The cut took literally less than 5 minutes, which didn't seem like a big deal as I asked for just the smallest of trims. Next was the highlights, which Alysia asked me about how I wanted them, etc. She was very quick and efficient doing them, but didn't speak a word to me unless I tried to engage with her. She rinsed and washed and whatnot, then did the blow dry. I had asked her to begin with to cut my bangs, and she wanted to do it dry at the end. So the time came, and she listened to what I wanted and cut them. At this point I hadn't really seen my color and cut because I don't see well without my glasses on, so once she was done I got to take a look. I was totally shocked at how frizzy my hair was. I have fine, straight hair so I don't know how this happened. My bangs were flat and lifeless, but now I was just dying to get out there. I did like my highlights, and I told her so. Paid, tip, and I was out of there. So being in an organic salon, I had hoped that I would be given some kind of info about products or why it was better. Nothing. I have no idea what products they use and sell, let alone what actually went on my head. That was truly disappointing, and weird because you think that the salon would want to push the products used. So I get home and go to inspect my locks. I have these AWFUL, blunt, why are they there layers in the side of my cut. They don't blend, they look like a child got to me with scissors. I wear my hair straight and smooth, and my hair now looks thin at the ends because of these terrible choppy "layers". I went out the same evening with friends and had two people comment on it, thinking I tried to self cut my hair or got something stuck in it. I'm obviously upset. I've been trying to grow my hair out for nearly a year with only maintenance cuts, and now I'm going to have to go and try to have a much more reputable salon try and fix these weird chops of hair without cutting it all off.

I've been going to Jus Hair for almost a year now & have followed them to their new location. The owner, Cheryl, has been doing my hair & has done a wonderful job every time. So happy to find a place which uses organic products. I also appreciate their very laid back attitude, humor, and willingness to talk about various options to get the best result... They are committed to making sure you are happy with your results. thanks again, Cheryl!!

I purchased a groupon for hair cut and I called and scheduled appointment, when I arrived at 22 E Chicago Ave,(the address that they have in groupon website) I noticed the unit door is closed, told myself she may be on the way, so I wait there for a long time, then I called her again to see what happened, and she told me that they moved out from that address?!!!I surprised why she didn't tell me that at the time that I scheduled appointment? !! she asked me to drive almost 30 min to the new location !!!I never recommend " Jus Hair Organic Salon" to others because it seems they are not care and respect the clients.I cancelled my order as soon as I arrived home.

they don't know how to give a haircut.

Found this salon on groupon and decided to try it. The salon itself is small but comfortable. Jim was my stylist. I went in for highlights and a cut. He did not present a color book and he butchered my hair. They don't style it for you when you leave so if you have curly hair I do you have no idea what it'll look like until you get home and straighten it yourself. My cut was uneven (2inches shorter on one side) and the back looked like a glorified mullet. With that I cried and went to super cuts so they could fix it and they did a far superior job.I called the salon back where thy connected me with Jim who cussed at me and said I threw him under the f*ing bus. I asked what they could do and they said I could get a free cut ( why would you back someplace that butchered your hair the first time?) with that I spoke with Cheryl ( the owner) who refused to refund the cut or pay for the one that fixed it. Very rude people and it was overpriced even with the groupon.If you like your hair at all please don't even bother trying this place.

I had been looking for a salon that provided a full line of organic products as I'm sensitive to chemicals and Jus'Hair came to my rescue. I've only been there for one visit and I can't believe the difference on how my hair feels and looks. The color line is amazing and so is Cheryl ! I've had many compliments on my hair since the visit to Jus'Hair. Worth the drive from Arlington Heights ! It's sooo refreshing to find someone who actually cares :)

I have gotten 3 compliments since I had my colored yesterday! Two before I washed it today and I jus thad it done yesterday!My hair has be cut maybe in the long Jackyn Smith syle until it is healthy again.Great customer one on one service.The best slection of brunette colors around.I may get new color this year yeah!

I had hair extensions put in by Cheryl and she is amazing. They look wonderful and I would highly recommed her. They are reusable which is a plus in my book.

I am SO GRATEFUL to have found Jus Hair Organic Salon. We live chemical and "fake food" FREE!. Cheryl understood our lifestyle very well and made us feel comfortable choosing the best products to support our lifestyle. She expressed dedication is restoring my hair back to healthy! It is so nice to be able to purchase healthy products right there in her salon (vs on line or traveling to a store!)The haircut I received was the BEST one in my life, really! I am SO grateful to have found Cheryl and her salon! I highly recomend this salon to anyone living the organic lifestyle!

i love cheryl. she really knows her color. I came in with blonde hair, and we talked about changing it to a reddish color. I had asked her about it for a few years now, and I was finally ready to make the change. Everyone loves my color.Thank you,Jennifer
