I was renovating a family members condo, and needed to run a dedicated branch circuit for a microwave, and also update the bathroom outlet, lite switch and exhaust fan to GFIC protection, to meet current codes.Also I had quite a few questions regarding all the other wiring in the unit. I called Aardvark, and Frank Boss, the owner answered himself (no recording). He came out the next day, on time and spent. over 2 hours with me reviewing the existing electrical systems and making recommendations as to what was needed to be changed. He did not even charge for this review.This advise was invaluable and saved me a lot of needless work and money. We scheduled a time for him to come back the following day, since I had to leave.Frank showed up on time and went right to work finishing in a couple hours. The job he did was first class! I highly recommend you contact Frank Boss, at Aardvark for all your electrical requirements. He's an honest, experienced, and knowledgeable individual.

Incredibly personable, friendly and professional. He solved our issue within an hour and even gave a discount. He is our go to guy/electrician in the western suburbs from now on.

Frank spent several minutes on the phone with me to explain in detail how to troubleshoot a problem. His information was invaluable in correcting the difficulty I was experiencing with a power outage.

I tripped a breaker yesterday that I couldn't reset. This is the first time I needed an electrician so I went to the net to begin my research. The comments here were so strong that I decided to call Aardvark electrical. When I spoke with the electrician, he talked me through a couple of steps and as it turned out I didn't need the service call. He was pleasant, professional and generous with his time. I will bookmark his site and,know when I need an electrician, he is my guy.

After years of working with electricians who are only out for themselves and care nothing for the people who have to pay for their services, I have finally found one who is honest and has integrity. Frank Boss is just such a man!Working in the building maintenace field with several hotels and service industry properties over the last 20 years I have had many instances where a electrician has tried to mislead or drive the cost of a job up, or flat out lie about a simple fix in order to make a fast buck.Frank Boss is the best electrician I have ever worked with.He is honest, efficient and has a level of integrity I haven't seen from many other electricians.I highly recommend him because his work is done right the first time and his prices are very resonable compared to most others in his field. I used to have another electrician work for me but I was having a lot of issues. I switched over to using Frank with Aardvark electric and immediately saw improvements. He has done nearly everything for me now, and I could not be more satisified with the way things have turned out.

Frank Boss of Aardvark is great! i had a buzzing sound coming from our electrical panel and he was able to help me trouble shoot the problem on the phone before he even came out. this is a first that a technician of any kind that actually answers the phone much less helps explain to me the possible reasons for the buzzing and that his services might not be the correct one for the job. he suggested i check my sump pumps first to see if they were pulling too much power and that being the real reason for the buzzing sound, all while giving his time and waiting on the phone as i ran and did this. i usually get a dispatcher of sorts that answers the phone and just wants to send someone to check it out, and of course the person on the phone never has knowledge of my problem or what I'm asking about. Frank is a keeper, he came within a couple of hours of me calling and stopped the buzzing immediately. he will be my first call if i ever need electrical work.

I called Frank based on other people's online reviews, and I was just as impressed as they were by his professionalism and courtesy. When I first reached Frank by phone, he asked politely if it would be OK to call me back since he was working at the time and didn't feel right about talking "on the customer's dime". I can certainly appreciate that! Later that day when we spoke again and I explained to Frank that I had a circuit breaker that kept tripping when the vacuum was on, he went over the reason for the problem and the options for solving it in very clear, understandable terms. He was willing to take the time to help me resolve the issue myself by explaining which circuits (kitchen and laundry) have higher amp breakers and can handle the vacuum's electrical draw without a problem, instead of charging me for a service call. I will certainly call Frank in the future if I need any electrical work done. His helpful, knowledgable, professional manner was beyond compare!

Honest and Fair. We lost power in part of our house on Sunday night. I called Frank Boss at Aardvark Electric on Monday morning. I explained to him the problem and he took the time to speak with me for about five minutes. After telling me the likely problem he asked me if I wanted to try repairing myself or he could come out and take a look. First, I was grateful Frank took the time to talk to me in everyday language about this electrical problem which I thought was going to be major. Second, Frank did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge to gouge me. He told me up front there would be $119 service call charge. For me, it was worth the peace of mind I would receive to have a qualified electrician handle the problem. I decided to have Frank come out and take a look. He arrived right when he said he would. He took a look and fixed the problem within twenty minutes. I asked Frank what I owed him and said let's call it $80 and if the problem reoccurs we can use that towards the service call charge when he comes back out. Problem solved and Frank Boss has a customer for life. If you need a quality electrician that you can trust look no further, just call Aardvark Electric.

I called Frank to ask for pricing and explained my issues. I remodeled my condo myself and replaced all the old old outlets with new ones and added a GFI in the kitchen. The adjoining dining room (20 amp outlets) tripped the kitchen GFI whenever I plugged something in. He spent 20 min on the phone explaining it was an easy fix and I should be able to do it myself. I don't know too many business owners who give honest advice and FREE! Frank is a rarity and I would recommend him in a second! If I can't fix the issue myself, I'm hiring him !

Frank Boss has completed 2 jobs for us. On the first job he installed ceiling lights in our kitchen, and the second job he replaced a bathroom fan and completed duct/vent work that another person we hired failed to complete. Frank is a real professional, and an expert at what he does. Most important, he is someone you can trust to tell you the truth about what needs to be done, provide you with an accurate estimate, and do the job on time, and as promised. Plus, he is friendly and easy to work with. We highly recommemend Frank!

Large tree limbs had fallen on the electric wires at the pole which resulted in the riser being pulled away from my house. Another electrician had come by and quoted me $800. Thankfully, my sister called Frank and he ended up doing the job on a sunday and in less than an hours time the job was done. The cost was $119. He is honest, competent and excellent at his job. I am so happy knowing that I can trust him for all my future electric work.

Frank Boss of Aardvark Electric has been our indoor and outdoor electrical contractor for the past eight years. We live in an older home and had him install ceiling fans in the bedrooms, re-run wiring due to some safety concerns, put in hard-wire timer switches for our outdoor lights, install new doorbell which needed a new transformer, etc. We even had an electrical power surge that happened on a Saturday night and Frank came to our house the next day, Sunday, to inspect and repair the damage. Frank is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, reasonable, and does top quality work. Most importantly, he loves what he does. I was so happy to find a local electrician like Frank. When I remodeled my kitchen I put in track lighting by FUSION. I was having several problems with the light fixture until I discovered Frank. He was able to troubleshoot the causes. He is very knowledgeable, a great problem solver, and it is obvious he loves his work! Excellent customer service.

Frank Boss of Aardvark Electrical is an electrical contractor who has solved multiple problems for me over the years. He has a common sense way to approach problem solving. Most recently he installed an exterior light fixture. The project was challenging from the standpoint that it required customizing the mounting brackets. Frank has the experience and knowledge to solve the most challenging problems in a cost-effective manner. His workmanship is excellent and he is very personable to work with.

After a long day at other jobs, Frank came out in the evening to assess our situation. We have an older home, which presented a few problems. Frank did excellent work, and corrected some problems created when we remodeled several years ago. I was impressed with his knowledge and problem solving skills, as well as his courtesy, efficiency and reasonable rates. Highly recommended!
