It's standard to have your feet measured. Your feet change sizes throughout your life, and many people don't actually know what size their feet are, and wear the wrong shoe size. This gentleman was serving you the way you are best served, but you don't know enough to know that. It's like walking into a tailor and telling them "just give me two sizes to try on, don't measure me". I actually think more highly of this business now that I've read this review.

If you go to buy shoes be warned. The elderly gentleman in the shoe department literally will not serve you unless you agree to letting him measure your feet.

The salesman asked to measure my foot two times and I declined. I asked to see one shoe in 2 diferent sizes. He returned from the back and said they did not have either size.

I then asked about a different style in the same size and he said he "could not be running back and forth" and said he needed to measure my foot. I declined for the 3rd time and he said "then I cannot serve you."

I said that was fine and I went to the front of the store and the manager(?) said that I should wait at the front of the store and that the salesman was "used to doing things his way."

I said that was fine and I would wait for another salesperson back in the shoe department because my mother was there waiting for me. Again I was told to "wait here" and "don't go back there yet".

Becoming uncomfortable with this, I returned to the shoe department and asked my my mother if she would mind waiting while another salesman was found. At that point my mother informed me that while I was in the front of the store the salesman said " I am not an errand boy."

You would think by this time I would have left the store.



But another salesperson did come. He brought 2 pair of shoes from the back for me to try on. I tried on both and bought one pair along with a pair of socks.

All in all- I like the store's products and prices but needless to say I will not buy shoes there again. No one should be bullied into having their foot measured, then denied service, and then have their mother spoken to in such a manner.

Awful service on an August Friday night. Very confusing to me why this man works there.
