Goldline Controls, originally named Independent Energy, Inc., was founded in 1975. The company began in concentration of engineering, manufacturing and marketing of electronic controls for solar heating of both domestic hot water and swimming pools. In the early 1980s, the company launched its 'Goldline' series of electronic temperature controls and alarms for the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) industries. Goldline is one of the market leaders in the United States with more than 60-70 percent market share in the U.S., and is also the number one worldwide producer of chlorinators. Since its inception, Goldline has produced in excess of 3,000,000 electronic controls that have gone into the HVAC/R, solar, and swimming pool/spa industries.
