I had to have my grandson teach me how to make a email and setup this account, just so I could come on and say how happy I was with the service I received. They were such nice young men and knew so much about what they were here to do. Have recommended you to a few of my friends and family and will continue to do so, should anyone that i know need help with their chimney. Thank you so much!

I had a liner installed by what I thought was a trusted company some time last year. However every time I called them to come and clean the chimney this year, they would put me off and never return my calls. I called A Sweep Above to come out and what they showed me I pretty much already knew. The liner the other company installed was not stainless steel. Not only did a magnet stick to it, which stainless steel a magnet should never be able to stick to, BUT when they removed the liner for me it was rusted top to bottom. In only a years time! Completely rusted! I have since contacted the attorney generals office to try and get my money back from the other company which is called CHIMCO. Turns out they aren't even local to Pennsylvania they are a NY company that catches hotel rooms for the week and rips off as many people as they can. If you didn't have your work done by A SWEEP ABOVE than you need to have it checked by A SWEEP ABOVE. They take time stamped pictures of your home so you know it's yours. I will only use A SWEEP ABOVE for my chimney needs from here on out.

Extremely knowledgable about codes and proper procedures. Best competitive pricing and overly polite and respectful. I would recommend these guys to my elderly parents and friends.

I had 3 other companies out to look at my home. It's from the 1800's and the chimney was one open chimney not seperated by "flues" as I came to learn the name was. I was told a) I wouldn't get 2 properly sized liners down that would vent my furnace and a wood stove. B) I wouldn't be able to have a wood stove, but needed a pellet stove instead because it took a smaller liner. C) I was told I had to have chimney rebuilt. A Sweep Above and SPECIFICALLY John's team, came in and laughed and said the job would be over in a few hours and id have it exactly how I wanted it. I couldn't believe the experience these young men had, but I finally used my woodstove after 2 years and it worked AMAZING! Thank you guys so much!!

What a company I needed A chimney liner and I got other estimates .they could not compare to a sweep above totally professional polite on time and well spoke highly recommended and the liner system is now saving me money on my fuel bill and keeping my boiler running better thank you John .

Had them come out because my furnace was shutting down after a few minutes running and leffler told me the chimney had to be cleaned. Well when they took the furnace pipe off the wall oh my god the base of the chimney was completely blocked with pieces of broken bricks and cement and this orange stuff which they informed was pieces of my clay chimney liner. Thank god they were able to fix it on the spot and my heat was running better than it had in a year or so within just a couple hours. Who knows what could've happened had they not come out to check the chimney. Thanks ALOT guys and I will be telling everyone who needs chimney work about you.

These guys did such a great job! Even in the snow, they were able to sweep out all three chimneys on the house. After they swept them down, one of the poor guys had to basically climb inside the fireplaces at the base and scrub the whole thing out and vacuum everything up. They got it all and didn't leave behind a single speck.

The service men were extremely polite and informative. They left no mess at all and that was one of my biggest worries. They even put back stuff that was in their way that I had stupidly forgotten to move for them. They took pictures to show me that the chimney was indeed clean after they were done. It was a very pleasant experience and I can't wait to have a fire. Thank you so much you guys!!!

I was very pleased with the work I had done. The fact that it's a family owned and operated business makes a big difference in the amount of pride people take in their work. They left me with before and after photos of the repairs that they did for me, that way I was able to see first hand everything they did up there because I can't really go on the roof any longer without giving my wife a heart attack. I will be surely telling anyone who brings up needing chimney work or maintenance, that A Sweep Above is the only people for the job.

I used these guys because my brother in law had them rebuild his chimney from the roof up and one day I was looking up and saw a bunch of cement laying on my roof around the chimney. The work they did was absolutely phenomenal and their customer service was A1. Which is why I was very surprised when the service guy had told us that someone had made a negative review online about them and it was effecting the way they look to some new customers. I'm not too savvy with computers and I had my granddaughter sit and show me how to create an account with yellow pages just so I could come on here and tell everyone how good of a job these guys did on my house. I am the 3rd person in the chain of people in my family who have used this company and there is not a single one of us unhappy. I hope to send more people to them because they are nice enough to send out a $5 or $10 dollar gift card to dunkin donuts when people I send their way call up and make an appointment. No one has ever shown that kind of appreciation for a gesture that is supposed to be done anyway just off general principle of being happy with their work. It goes to show that no matter how hard anyone can try, you just can't please everyone. The service guy told me they were asking all of their customers from now on, and some from the past, to go online and make a review, wether happy or displeased, so that other people can know about their service. And I tell you, I hope each and every person they tell this to actually does it because we need more trust worthy people in business, like the family at A Sweep Above, in the world today. Seems like everyone is a snake and is out to get senior citizens or disabled veterans. Not these guys. Thanks again A Sweep Above, I love looking up at my house now when I pull in the driveway and see no more bricks dust and mortar laying on the roof.

Ever since my husband passed away I was very nervous to have chimney guys come to the home because if all the stories I heard a few gears back in the news about chimney sweep scams. I was always hanging up on people when they called to offer a chimney sweep, but it's been so long since I used the fireplace and I honestly missed it. I was worried that the chimney may not be usable because its been so long and the house is so old. When I got the phone call from Heidy, she was such a sweetheart and I thought to myself, these people are the ones I want to use. A week or so after I made my appointment, Jon, the head technician which is what I requested, showed up to inspect the fireplace. He was such a polite young man and he made sure to try and explain everything to me in a way I would understand it. So it turned out the chimney was in perfect working order, but was taking on some water damage because it was so many years exposed to water from lack of a top hat on the chimney. So I of course wanted a hat to be put on. Because the house was so old there was lining, he said, in the chimney so a regular size hat wouldn't fit and that it had to be custom because the hole was too big. They measured the chimney and told me in 5-7 days they would call and set up an appointment to come and install the new chimney hat. Well 3 days later the hat was ready which was very convenient because I wanted it put up as soon as possible. So they came back out and within an hour or so my new hat was installed and it was so nice. I ordered a copper one to match the spouts on the house. I finally had a fire a few nights ago and my mind was at ease for once using it. If you have any work that you need done to your chimney, I highly recommend this company. Their customer service from the office people to the service men was beyond courteous.

I had a horrible experience with Anderson's chimney last year when they came out to clean my Woodstove. They left a mess and didn't even clean out the fire pit inside the stove. So when it came time this year I decided to call A Sweep Above. A friend of mine said they were very efficient and affordable. Needless to say from the moment they got to my home, they were very professional and extremely informative. Before they even swept anything they took the time to take pictures down the chimney to see if it even needed to be cleaned instead if just taking my money and performing a service that wasn't needed. They swept the chimney down and properly removed the liner connected to my stove so they could be certain that it was fully cleaned and not leaving the whole base packed with soot. They cleaned everything out, including the fire pit, and even put all my wife's knick knacks back all around the fireplace, which they moved in the first place so they didn't break anything by mistake. They went above and beyond to make sure that everything was just as it was when they got there. And the best part was they managed to do it all in about a half hours time because they actually had enough guys to do the job right. Very happy with the service I received and will be using them again next year when it's time for everything to be cleaned again.

These guys came out a few days ago to check and inspect the liner they installed for me back in 2012. The pipe was still shining! I was very pleased to see for myself how well the work they do has held up and feel confident that they were DEFINATELY the best men for the job.

The technicians were OVERLY respectful and informative. At first I was unsure of what they were saying and after showing me pictures of everything and explaining in full detail, I felt like I actually learned something. They made the repairs to the chimney that were needed in a timely manner and even showed me a before and after comparison. I have recommended them to my friends who have brought up needing second opinions for work that was told to them needed to be done. Thanks again guys! You get an A+ from us!!

I wanted to get my chimney cleaned out and ready for the winter. Since my husband passed away its been so hard getting things done because you never know who can be trusted. I called A Sweep Above Maintenance out of the yellow pages and immediately was met with kind regards from their office people. They set up an appointment for my convenience. I asked that the people coming out please have all credentials and badges, if any, on them. The guys got here and presented their photo badge, license and insurance. They came inside to look at the fireplace. Immediately after looking up the fireplace, they told me it had to be cleaned, which I knew because when my husband was still here he burned it furiously and nothing was ever done to it since he's been gone. These guys were WONDERFUL! They set up tarps on my white rug from the front door to the fireplace. They also set up a vacuum down at the bottom so that if anything did come back in the vacuum would catch it. They went up on the roof and used these big brushes to push everything down. Once they came down they came down with some pictures of the top of the chimney and how it was cracked and breaking apart, which I thought something was wrong because you can see small pieces of cement on my roof. They told me how it had to be fixed, showed me before and after pictures of other people's chimneys in which they had to do the same work to and let me know the price. It had to be done. They did it and brought me down pictures because I wouldn't dare go up on the roof. It was like a brand new chimney. They took 10% off because I am a senior over the age of 60 and I wrote them their check and before they left they showed me the proper and safe way to burn a fire because I've been worried about doing such since my husband is gone. They left with a smile and were extremely professional the entire time. They sent me all the pictures they took while they were here so I could have before and afters of what they did while they were here. I would recommend these people to any and all who need work done to their chimneys. Especially the people who are worried about having people to their house and don't know who to trust. These guys are A++++.

I was thinking for the last few months that I needed to have my chimney checked to make sure everything was going to be ok for the winter. I was worried because last winter was so terrible. I received a call from A Sweep Above and they offered me a chimney cleaning and inspection and it felt like they read my mind! They came out, a few minutes late, after speaking to them I understood why. It's a family owned business and a one man show. The nephew runs the only truck that goes out and has a lot of ground to cover all by himself. They set the ladders up after taking pictures up the chimney from the where the furnace goes into the wall and than showed me all the pictures they took. Last year when my Woodstove was burning I couldn't figure out why the smoke would come back in every time I opened the doors. It was because the inside of the chimney was cracked all over the place. I asked if they could refer me to someone who could fix it and they let me know they were able to fix it. So they put in a stainless steel liner from up on the roof and I sat with them at the stove because I couldn't figure out how they would be able to connect it. It was interesting to see how everything was connected. It was clear they knew what they were doing. Afterwards I got my stove going and the smoke was going up the chimney beautifully. They put a cap on top also and I asked them to put a cap on top of my gas chimney also that heats the house. They told me the gas chimney wasn't as bad as the stove one, but that I would need some work done to it within a few years and I was nervous thinking that if the stove had smoke coming back in the house that the furnace could allow gas fumes back in the house and I asked them to do what they did to the stove chimney to the gas one. At this point I felt bad because I knew I was holding them up and probably making them late for any other appointments they had on for the day, but they assured me not to worry about it. After they were all done and cleaned up they sent me all the pictures they took before and after to my email so I can print them out and have them on file which came in handy because I am getting up there in age and going on the roof scares the heck out of me just thinking about it. I recommended them to my sister and my nephew who use their chimney a lot also and I would recommend their services to everyone and anyone who needs to have anything done to their chimney!!
