of course they would only let you look at dogs from a book, it has to do with liability(dog bite). I donated 3 bags of dog toys and while there we go to interact with all the cats, there was 4-5 rooms with no cages but about 6 or 7 cats with beds and litter boxes and food dishes and water dishes. If I need to adopt a new pet that's where I would go. I just love the fact that this is a NO KILL shelter. Keep up the incredible work you do.

Clean no kill shelter

We had a wonderful experience when we adopted our new puppy from Noah's. they don't just hand out pets to anyone which I believe is important. They care about the animals and it was very clean.

waste of time

I took my mom there to pick out a dog for a forever home. For starts, you can't go back and look at the dogs, you have to pick one out from a book! Then you have to fill out paperwork just to see a potential one. I was really hoping to show my mother that love is not affected by appearance. Anyway, not only that but they won't let you adopt more than one at a time, they argued with us when she did make a choice, and then rejected her a week later because she works 4 hours a day. How do they even adopt any pets out? I feel bad for the animals locked in a small cage daily that can't go to a good home because one person had too high of standards. I say, go somewhere else or you might end up falling for one dog and not being able to love them.

Great Place

I noticed a review that said something like "Great place, I got an animal there & it had no issues." I have an issue about that issue. It's a great place, this place rescues animals it's not a BREEDING COMPANY. If you get an animal from there, Do Not & you can not blame or hold them accountable if the dog YOU pick ends up having ISSUES. The animals (most of them anyway) that are at this location have been through traumatic circumstances and may end up having issues. So if you are looking to have a perfect pet that has a garentee that it will not have Issues than this place is not for you. But if you really would like to help the animal become the best family member in your house, Than Yes please go there & get a new family member.

Save your time

My husband and I went there on 5-7-10 looking to give a dog a "Forever Home". When we arrived we were offered a book to look at and told that we could pick something from the book, fill out an application and they would show us that animal. I questioned if we could just go back and look to see what they had because you can not judge a book by its cover, we were informed, no. Save your time and do not go out there.

A fellow high school teacher and I went to the Noah Project to look at a lab puppy and were VERY impressed with the facilities and the volunteers/employees that were there. The facility AND the animals were EXTREMELY clean and well taken care of. You can tell that the people who work there care about the animals and especially about the placement of the animals. They do a thorough investigation into the backgrond of anyone who applies for a pet. We were disappointed that we couldn't adopt a pet and take them home; BUT we completely understand and appreciate the policies and enforcement of those policies to ensure a good home for each pet.
