It’s just the finest of facilities to have your dancer at. The surroundings are beautiful. It’s truly a happy place to be. The teachers and office staff are more than kind , understanding, and helpful. They have answers to any questions asked.we have been going to ADC for years and always have my grandchildren been happy taking lessons there.

Our daughter has danced at Anita's since she was 8 (now 14). She has had amazing opportunities through weekly classes, master workshops with internationally known dancers and choreographers, as well as performing opportunities including regional and national competition teams where the team has been honored to win many awards. She even had the opportunity to go to New York and participate in a day long workshop with the Rockettes at Radio City Hall! I'm thrilled she's been given these opportunities, but what my husband and I are even happier about is the genuine goodness of the staff at Anita's. I feel as though Anita's is an extension of what we are trying to accomplish as parents - raise confident, kind, healthy well-rounded young women and men. My daughter is learning life skills through dance. Anita frequently tells her dancers that life should be prioritized by 1.) God 2.) Family 3.) School 4.) Dance. I am so thankful for Anita, her staff and the wonderful families/friends our daughter has made and continues to make. It's hard raising kids and it's nice to have a little support at a place our daughter spends a lot of her time (and I mean a lot)!

Over the years we have attended weekly classes and many dance recitals. Each year the performances at the Recitals are more beautiful and entertaining. It has been a joy to watch all of the girls grow up and become beautiful, graceful and confident. They truly love what they do and it shows. I believe that [my daughter] has not only grown as a dancer but also as a person. She demonstrates poise, grace, confidence and has become a true performer. Friendships form and bonds among the students are strong. There is both teamwork and independent skill developed teaching accountability, responsibility and time management.

A few years ago, we changed studios and returned to Anita's just one year later. The other studio wasn't as family-friendly, didn't offer the same level of quality instruction and didn't challenge our daughter. She asked to return. Not long ago, when her first car broke down, we offered Emily the opportunity to get a new car but in return she would need to let go of her dance classes. She choose dance over the new car!! This demonstrates her commitment and her passion for dance. I'm thrilled that she has also developed a love for the performing arts and hope that she continues to remain involved in dance for years to come. The physical, emotional and developmental rewards have been great.

Anita's is more than a dance studio.

Turning out great dancers is just one of the benefits. Anita's teaches kids not only how to dance, but teaches their students valuable life lessons and how to be better people. The teachers serve as positive role models who teach with true enthusiasm and excitement for dance. The studio offers a safe and fun environment where the dancers can be themselves and meet friends from all over southeast Wisconsin who share a common love - dance.

Anita's offers a wonderful program for the beginning students with many class offerings. My 5-year old daughter loves her performing class and it has been wonderful to see her self confidence grow! My older daughter loves being part of the companies and all that they offer her. She has become a confident performer because of her experience at Anita's and her love for dance shows when she's performing. The recitals are always top-notch and the father-daughter dances provide precious memories that will last a lifetime. What is special about Anita's is that they believe in providing a wonderful dance experience to all dancers, regardless of their abilities. I feel lucky that my girls are a part of this dance studio!!

I have three daughters that dance at Anita's Dance Center and we have been at the dance center for thirteen years. When I enrolled my daughters in dance classes it was for the sole purpose of providing them with an extra curricular activity. After the girls completed a month of dance classes I soon realized that the dance classes were going to provide them with much more than an extra curricular activity. The girls were learning how to work with others, to be part of a team, to build and maintain relationships, and to problem solve when learning the dance steps. They were also developing their cognitive abilities and memorization skills, along with stamina, to learn, practice and perfect the steps in a dance from start to finish. When preparing for the dance recitals the girls needed to be organized and prepared to make quick changes, along with being flexible and ready for any kind of change. The recitals and multiple performing opportunities developed their confidence to perform in front of an audience. These are not just dance skills, these are life skills that will prepare my daughters for college, careers, and for life. Thank you to Anita's Dance Center for this!!

The reality is that we live in Wisconsin and chances are there will be an extremely small percentage of girls that go on to become professional dancers, if any at all. What message are we sending our daughters if we are encouraging them to cut others down and bully their way to the top for the sole purpose of being a shining star for just one fleeting moment or for winning a trophy. In life we are remembered by how many other people's lives we can touch and make a difference with. Wouldn't it be better to teach our daughters the importance of the impact they have on the lives of the elderly people they dance for and wish a "Merry Christmas" to at the nursing homes during the Christmas holidays, who respond with "thank-you so much because I don't have any family members to say that to me, you are the only one to say that to me." Wouldn't it be better to teach our daughters how to encourage their peers and provide them with words of praise rather than criticism. Wouldn't it be better to teach our daughters to be humble and grateful for the gifts that they have been given in order to be dancers.

Anita's is an amazing place to dance. I have danced there since age 5 and instantly fell in love with the instructors and facility. I credit many of my learning experiences to Anita's Dance Center, where I was encouraged to express myself through dance, be creative, and make lifelong friends. I highly recommend Anita's Dance Center for anyone interested in dance.

As a high school counselor I work with teenagers everyday. Many of the older girls that dance at Anita’s are also students or former students of mine. Every one of them is academically focused, goal driven and have the highest character ~ amazing young women that stand out among their peers! As a parent, I am most grateful that my daughter has the opportunity to dance at Anita’s and have these wonderful young women as role models. My hope is that not only will my daughter develop into a talented dancer, but also possess the great integrity and character that all Anita’s dancers possess.

Anita's Dance Center provides a wonderful atmosphere for a girl to grow as a dancer and a person. Everyone is encouraged to do their personal best and work together as a team. It all comes together to provide a very exciting and entertaining show. The Father-Daughter dance routines in the Recitals are a great memory my daughter and I will always share. The older students and teachers are excellent role models for a young girl. I'm proud my daughter is a dancer at Anita's Dance Center.

The atmosphere is light and fun for the girls, and the focus is on having fun and being creative. As a mother of three girls I am especially pleased that Anita's dancers come in all different shapes and sizes. I love seeing all different body types dancing on stage, and I know that is a positive message to send to all young girls. I also love the center itself! I have a toddler, and I really appreciate having the playroom to keep her busy during class time. It's also great that Anita herself is active as a teacher and is visible at the center. Her commitment and passion is astounding. She gets to know the girls and is a great role model. All in all I highly recommend Anita's Dance Center!

Anita’s Dance Center is a family centered environment. We as parents are able to participate in the dance activities with our daughters, through the Father-Daughter dances and being a volunteer at the Recitals and other Dance Center activities. The classes are very affordable and they offer many different types of dance classes for children. At the Dance Center all children are dancers, regardless of age, size or skill. The children feel very good about themselves and their skills as they perform in the Recitals.

Lies lies and more lies

Well I've danced here for 12 years and finally decided to stop dealing with it. The reviews that are GOOD are either from students that got placed high because of their 'parents volunteering' or being a kissa** to Anita. I've always enjoyed coming to dance at anitas but always had something that wasn't right in the back of my mind. Anita has always been nice to me. But she's also lied.many many many times. We are told we all get equality but she takess time out of OUR dance class to sit down and talk to us about competition or teachers.beacause they 'are more important'. And I'm not saying all of this out of anger I'm simply stating the full truth here.I have asked to teach and been told id get one but never do. I've asked to be on competition and been told that I shouldn't do it..its not 'for me'. I've been overcharged for simply not coming to class a couple times. And most importantly here..been put down and placed in lower than I desserve groups just because I don't participate in competition or my parents aren't involved. I've recently seen some crazy things happen at anitas. And basically just brcause she doesn't want a bad reputation and doesn't tolerate 'different' people. The studio is hardly ever cleaned.its quite disgusting at times. Teachers are late for class. Girls are loud and rude. We were taught wrong technique. And lastlybut not least..the dances were very poorly choreographed. The focus stayed on 'the more talented' at all times. Never enough time spent on getting ready for performances. Summer performannces are at cheap crappy places..basically so anita can save money. Still think its a great studio?still think this is a ridiculous review?try danncing there for 12 yrs and being treated bad all that time. I'd recomend not dancing here or even starting your child here. WASTE OF MY TIME.ill be starting at danceworks this fall and be very pleased. I will not miss anitas at all.
