Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford County provides potable water service throughout Rutherford County. It provides drinking water for all residential, industrial, commercial and governmental agencies. The district has various departments, including accounting and purchasing, construction, human resources, engineering, information systems, inspection, maintenance, leak detection, meter reading, telemetry, wastewater, water treatment plant and many more. It works with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Water Supply, The Corp of Engineers, elected officials, engineers, developers and contractors.
