As the owner of Midwest Pond Design, I just wish there was the opportunity to rate the people who anonymously rate companies on this site. SG/IG, whatever you want to call yourself, your pond is now operational. You have been obviously ripped off by the previous installer. I charged you to get your pond running, I rerouted the failed attempt at a filtration system that was there. Your pond now runs through a filter. Your Welcome. I made 4 or 5 trips to make sure you were running fine. The rest is called maintenance. You had a roofer fix your pond prior and now I'm the bad guy? Instead of playin this rate down game, I would recommend contacting me directly, you know the phone number. That goes for the other rate down individuals. Midwest Pond Design services over 200 customers a year,for the past 10 years, and yet all I have to show for it is a few people with nothing better to do than troll online.847-949-1281 Midwest Pond Design..... just in case you want to really talk about

Had the man come out,said he would return,took almost all of my old equipment and money! Never came back,never returned calls!Didnot fix my problems,would NOT refer him to anyone!

I called Allen the owner-he was at my home within a few hours and immediately saw and fixed the problem! His rates are reasonsable for the integrity of his service! Would highly recommend to everyone! A honest,caring gentleman.

I was referred to Allen at Midwest Pond by a local garden center and needed someone to help fix a problem pond I have had for years. He returned my call within the same day, and came over. He was caring about the way he explained what needed to be done. He was able to repair my pond and had it running within an hour. What a fabulous young man.

We finally decided to update our backyard and Allen was recommended to us from a co-worker. He gave us a fair estimate, we had gotten 4 others, and him and his workers started the following week. Every day we saw amazing progress. The job site was cleaned up at the end of every day. The job was finished in a timely manner. The lighting was installed around the patio and the water feature looks wonderful. The patio was laid in a herringbone design and the finish around the edges looks perfect. I wish I could post the pictures to see how good our back yard looks now. We would highly recommend him to anyone and next year we are hoping to put in the pond that he spoke to us about. Great job!!

What an idiot. The guycomes around, talks up a storm about my pond, writes up a contract and I write him a check, which he promptly cashes. He arrives to do the work, slashes my existing liner, leaves a part of a skimmer box, and now it's a week later and nothing, no returned calls, and I'm screwed. This is the last time I ever trust anyone again...next time it's references up the wazoo. He lives in my town! how can he look at himself in the mirror? I've already threatened him with court but I see it'll most likely be futile.I WILL HAPPILY POST AN UPDATE IF/WHEN I GET MY MONEY BACK(HA)OR THE WORK GETS DONE.

I hired this guy to do landscaping for me and gave him a deposit and he never did the landscaping. I took him to court and won a judgment but, he declared bankruptcy and I was pretty much last on the list of creditors so I never did get my money back.

We have had Allen from Midwest Pond Design aerate our lawn for the last 3 years. He has been reliable and timely and so this summer(2009) we got a very competitive estimate from him (we received two other estimates from landscapers our friends had used and recommended) beating the other bids and also giving us a one year warranty on his work. The project involved replacing an old deck that was at the end of its life and putting in a brick patio with a complex design (3 victorian circles, long seating wall, and large retaining wall) and some other landscaping.Allen and has team started on schedule with a city permit. They removed the deck by the end of the first morning. Significant progress was made every day and it was very obvious that they took a lot of pride in building the patio. The work was completed in a timely manner.The result was stunning and way exceeded expectations! All of our neighbors have complemented us on our patio. I can highly recommend Allen and his team.

Be Aware! Mr. Allen Stubisch had a contract w us way over a month ago, took 50 of charge as deposit and disappeared. Never return any calls. I'll post an update if he ever returns the deposit or get the job done in a timely fashion.

This guy stole $1,000 from me when he operated another landscape company called Elroy's Landscaping. I took him to court but, he filed for banruptcy and I was last on the list of debtors. The Better Business Bureau rates this company as unsatisfactory and I am not suprised!
