Northside Middle School, located in Muncie, Ind., enrolls more than 950 students. It is a public school that provides academic education to students in grades six through eight. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, science, social studies and foreign languages with a choice in French and Spanish. It also provides courses in family and consumer science, health care, and construction and manufacturing technology. Additionally, the school provides courses in business, advanced computer applications, and physical and special education. The school also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as music, drama, band, choir, orchestra, and quiz competitions and science fairs. Northside Middle School has a library and media center that provides a large collection of curriculum books, magazines, encyclopedias and access to the Internet. The school also offers academic counseling and student support services. Northside Middle School offers various sports activities, including basketball, football, cross country, wrestling and swimming. Northside Middle School is a part of Muncie Community Schools and was established in 1988.
