Grissom Memorial Elementary School, founded in 1973, is affiliated with the Muncie Community School Corporation. Located in Muncie, Ind., the school offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. It offers various programs, including English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. Grissom Memorial Elementary School also offers Reading First, computer education, counseling, speech and language, and special education programs. It additionally offers programs, such as the gifted and talented, and beginning alcohol and addiction basic education studies program. The school also implements the No Child Left Behind Act.
