The Apple Tree Child Development Center is a licensed educational facility that provides child care services for more than 250 children. It serves children up to grade seven with a variety of developmentally appropriate programs. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It offers a free membership option to the YMCA for families who are enrolled in full-time infant through full-day kindergarten programs. The Apple Tree Child Development Center utilizes a holistic approach to develop children cognitively, physically, emotionally, creatively and socially. It provides learning opportunities in the areas of math, science, computer education, art and foreign languages. The center offers several after-school enrichment programs for children in kindergarten through grade seven and organizes summer day camps. The Apple Tree Child Development Center is a part of the Muncie Family YMCA, which serves more than 4,000 households in Delaware, Blackford and Kosciusko counties in Indiana.
