The Mount Prospect Fire Department s mission is to provide fire, rescue and emergency medical services. The Mount Prospect Fire Department provides a number of services, such as paramedic, fire suppression, fire prevention, fire investigation, hazardous materials, an urban search and rescue team, swift water rescue, automated external defibrillator training and public education classes. The department also provides fire safety presentations to schools and community gatherings, prom night alcohol awareness seminars at Mount Prospect high schools, ambulance awareness presentations, fire station tours, juvenile fire setter counseling for youth exhibiting traits of pyromania, evacuation planning, and citizen fire academy registration and information.
