Dr. O'Boyle has been a resident of the Borough of Mount Pocono since 1978. He is a graduate of King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1968. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972. After graduating from dental school, Dr. O'Boyle entered active duty with the U.S. Navy. He served for six years with the Naval Dental Corps where he gained extensive experience in all fields of dentistry with special emphasis in endodontics and oral surgery. In 1978 Dr. O'Boyle established his general practice in the Mount Pocono area. He continued to serve in the U.S. Naval Reserve, ascending to the rank of Captain before retiring in 1994.Dr. O'Boyle enjoys practicing all phases of dentistry. Of particular interest is his certification in the placement of "Lumineers". These incredibly thin veneers reduce or often eliminate the need to remove tooth structure to remake a smile. They have been called the most important advancement in dentistry in the last 100 years.
