Mark Schmidt is honest, reliable and an all-around great marine mechanic. Mark took care of our Bayliner boat for 3 years when we were living in the Nashville area. He performed all of our routine maintenance plus our non-routine maintenance (which involved an engine change). He is a stellar guy at a very fair price... a mechanic you can trust. Glad to have found him and wish he was in Florida now (since we live here). Thanks!

You are only as smart as the people that you hire. Mark Schmidt the owner/operator is an RV prodigy. Mark is a prompt, honest, fair, and a hard working individual. Mark's type of business ethic needs to be rewarded by using him whenever you can. I do!

I was lucky enough to find Mark about 6 years ago on craigslist. I had a jet ski that another repair shop said was blown. Took it to Mark, and in a rainstorm he had my ski running in twenty minutes. Since then, He and Lori have been the only marine mechanics I have let touch my other skis and boats I have owned. Best in the business.

Drove all the way from Clarksville,TN! Mark is the best! He took the time go over all of the repairs and showed us the parts. He is very patient and honest! I highly recommend Schmidt's Marine and RV Service in Mt. Juliet!

HONEST, RELIABLE, AND FAIR PRICED. Our 91 Eldorado RV broke down, and they were the only mechanic that would take us in. Despite them being extremely busy, Mark took the time to look at the RV and fix it for us. We were stranded for 4 days until we found his shop. Without their help, we would have never made it out of TN. They will take care of you and treat you like family! Very honest, intelligent, and trustworthy people!

USE SCHMIDT'S FOR ALL YOUR RV REPAIRS!!! I have had the absolute best experience with my camper every time I've gone. They always go above and beyond to make sure your job is done right and done on time. Their prices are also unbeatable. I have a vintage camper, so I am always needing work done on it. I've been to many, many places and their prices are the best. You will be well taken care of if you go here and you can trust you'll get the best job at the best price. I will continue to go back any time I need work done and will tell everyone I know to go there!!!

We have used Schmidt's a few times and have had nothing but great service. Mark is great at troubleshooting and explaining the problem with your boat. Mark has always had our boat fixed when promised and at a fair price. We will always use Schmidt's & recommend him to our friends.

I had a boat that I needed to sell for an estate. I knew enough to tinker on the boat but could not get it to fire. I knew where the issue was just not how to fix it or if it was even worth fixing. I took my boat to Schmiddt’s and told them my theory. Not only did they test my suggestion but they did a thorough diagnostics. They were able to tell me what to expect and what parts would need to be ordered. They took the time to find the best priced parts for me and even asked if I wanted to do it myself or have them do it. They made me feel as if the genuinely wanted to help me get this boat going again even if it was just to give me advice on how to do it. I let them do the install of the parts. They kept me informed on the status and really worked with me on picking it back up. When I came to pick it up, they walked me through everything they did, what tests they ran and even showed me how to do the some of the other repairs I wanted to do myself. There was no extra charge for the additional time they took with me, the novice. Great people and a great business. I will take all my business back to them.

I took my boat to Schmidt's the first time about 2 - 3 years ago and was not only impressed with his work but their personalized attention. I have counted on Schmit's to take care of two different boats (inboard and outboard). Mark is knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. When I bring my boat in I know that Mark is going to perform a complete diagostic and that I can use my boat with confidence. Mark is great at pointing out little things that I miss and lets me decide how I wish to proceed, I appreciate the time they take to discuss ways that can maintain the peak performance and longevity of my boat along with ways to save money. Schmidt's is the equivilent of my boat's Doctor and I plan on using them as long as I a have boat and recommend him to all my Family, friends, and co workers.

I have a 2005 90 HP Yamaha Outboard. I took it to Schmidt's Marine Services due to it was over charging. They found the battery and rectifier to be faulty. I found them to be very honest. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have a 2006 Stratos with a Mercury Optimax 150 HP fish and ski boat. I purchased my boat early summer of 2011. It seemed to run fine the first season. However, by mid last summer it never seemed to run as I felt it should. It would cut out intermittently, start hard at times, and not idle well when hot. I took it to a local boat shop late September and they charged me over $400.00, and then I was told that I needed major motor repair in excess of $1100.00. Not convinced nor shown the supposed changed out parts, I reluctantly paid the amount and pulled my boat home.



After doing my research and having been referred, I took my boat to Schmidt's in early October 2012. Upon my arrival, Mr. Schmidt set up my engine in a large run tub, and he went over with me numerous tests on my engine and found things that where needing addressed. The final determination was an issue with one of the electronics within my motor. Mark also took the time to explain and demostrate to me how electronics can be intermittent and can even possibly short out, melt wires, and at times cause a hard to locate wiring problem as I now know I was experiencing, and they could not find.



I was given a fair estimate and approximate repair time of 4 days. Mark replaced that unit, and made adjustments to my engine as well as other minor things that he did not charge me for. I also had returned to me all of my replaced parts. My repair was done on time, on budget, and less than the intial repair cost from the local shop. Having had just recently returned from a lengthy fishing trip with my Stratos, and have been out multiple times locally, I must say that my boat has never performed as good, nor proven to be as dependable. I have also noticed a substantial fuel savings and the motor seems to run so much smoother. It is nice to finally have the ability to launch my boat in confidence and spend time fishing rather than paddling.



Not being one for reviews, I just wanted to express that I am very satisfied with the service, cost, and quality of repairs that I received at Schmidt's Marine. Mr. Schmidt seems to be very particular and somewhat of a perfectionist, the kind of mechanic I want working on my boat. He clearly knows these engines thoroughly, and I now understand why Schmidt's comes so highly recommended. I will continue to refer others to Schmidt's as a fair and honest boat repair facility, and regret not having taken my boat to them first, I would be $400 ahead...

We brought a 15ft runabout that for no reason just quit and we could not get to start, I found Schmidt's Marine Services in the yellow pages, my husband brought the boat to them and they were just great, they were able to troubleshoot the problem right away told us what it would involve and within a couple of days the boat was running great, the prices are very reasonable and it was refreshing to find a boat mechanic that acutally does what he says he is goin to do, we have been boat owners for many years and always had issues finding mechanics to work on the boat in a timely manner. It's wonderful to have our boat back in the water and running great, I would recommend Schmidt's Marine to anyone who needs work done on their boat, we also have a houseboat and will definitly use them to winterize it.

I was having issues a few months back and took my little fishing boat to Schmidt's.

This was a little 25hp johnson motor that had been neglected for its maintanence for quite some time. I was given a quote which was fair. the work was done very promptly and the final bill was right along what the quote stated.



when picking up the motor, I was shown all the parts that were replaced and informed of what was done and why it needed doing.



I was very please with the service I recieved.



I am not one to place many reviews and was not about to review something based off just the face time. I wanted to make sure I was not giving false praise by writing a review too early. In the last few months, i have taken my boat out at least once a week and let me tell you, it has never run better. it starts right up which it has never done. runs smoother and seems faster than before. I dont feal worried about being stranded anymore which has lead to more time out on the water.



I can say, if you need some prompt, affordable friendly service that was honest and didnt try to price gouge me, come down and see Mr. Schmidt. I don't think you'll be disapointed.

We are extremely satisfied with the work done on our boat. The Shcmidt's were straight forward explaining everything in great detail. They were friendly, professional and always kept us informed on what was going on. They take great pride in their work and will do you right. I am so glad we choose them for our repairs and will gladly recommend them to anyone with a boat =)

We own a 1999 20' Monterey and Schmidt's has been servicing her since 2009. After our initial meeting and diagnosis, it was determined our engine needed quite a bit of work. The following season our boat ran better than she ever had previously! We went back again at the end of that season for some minor work and again the performance of our engine improved even more!



Mark is very thorough and always keeps me updated throughout the service, offering advice and options. When I go to pick up our boat he always details exactly what work he performed and what upcoming services may be necessary. I always feel confident when I bring our boat home from Schmidt's and know she will run great once on the water!

Schmidt's is a great and very friendly small business marine repair shop. Here is a list of the things that I like about this company.

1) When you bring the problem to Mark, he immediatetly looks at the issue with you, talks about the problem, and discusses with you the possible repairs needed.

2) He will tell you straight forward if something is worth fixing or if a replacement part is needed to be found

3) Pricing for parts and labor are a less than your typical repair shops.

4) He is thorough in his repair work.

5) He will let you know if he sees any potiential future problems and will show you how to take care of that problem.

6) He shows you exactly what he fixed and why the problem occured.

7) He never pushes you to get the repairs done. He explains the issue and lets you decide what you want to do.
